Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On April 18, the 6th season premiere of Better Call Saul will air at 9 PM on AMC.
New Amsterdam will be back with new episodes on NBC at 10 PM starting on April 19.
On April 19, the two-hour premiere of Mayans M.C. will air on FX at 10 PM.
The season finale of the Apple TV+ drama WeCrashed will air online on April 22.
On April 22, the Netflix feature film Along For the Ride will debut online. During the summer before college, Auden (Emma Pasarow) meets the mysterious Eli (Belmont Cameli), a fellow insomniac. While the seaside town of Colby sleeps, the two embark on nightly quests to help Auden experience the fun, carefree life she never knew she wanted. The film also stars Kate Bosworth, Andie MacDowell and Dermot Mulroney.
The Amazon 3-part series A Very British Scandal will debut online on April 22. The original drama focuses on Margaret, Duchess of Argyll (Claire Foy) and Ian Campbell, the 11th Duke of Argyll (Paul Bettany) whose ugly divorce in 1960s England set a new standard for scandal.
On April 23, the Hallmark Channel movie A Tail of Love will debut at 8 PM. Bella (Brittany Bristow) learns her dog rescue’s future is in question when they lose funding from their main sponsor, a dog food company that’s being sold. The late owner’s son, JR (Chris McNally), is a soldier who is home on leave to handle the sale. During a visit to the rescue JR quickly bonds with Indie, a retired military dog they just took in, and begins spending more time there. When Bella learns the rescue’s property is also being sold, she turns to JR for help with finding the missing document proving her grandparents purchased the land many years before.
The movie Kiss the Cook will debut on UPtv on April 24 at 7 PM. Kacey, a food blogger with an impressive following, is approached with the opportunity to write her own cookbook. The only problem is, she isn’t a very good cook, but with the help of chef Gavin, they may just have the recipe for success. The cast includes Erica Deutschman and Andrew Bushell.
On April 24, the new drama Gaslit will debut at 8 PM on Starz. This limited series is a modern take on Watergate that focuses on the untold stories and forgotten characters of the scandal – from Nixon’s bumbling and opportunistic subordinates to the deranged zealots aiding and abetting their crimes to the tragic whistleblowers who would eventually bring the whole rotten enterprise crashing down. The story will center on Martha Mitchell (Julia Roberts). A big personality with an even bigger mouth. Martha is a celebrity Arkansan socialite and wife to Nixon’s loyal Attorney General, John Mitchell (Sean Penn). Despite her party affiliation, she’s the first person to publicly sound the alarm on Nixon’s involvement in Watergate, causing both the Presidency and her personal life to unravel. The ensemble cast includes Shea Whigham, Patton Oswalt, Dan Stevens, Nate Corddry, Raphael Sbarge, Reed Diamond, Nat Faxon, Chris Messina, Brian Geraghty, Allison Tolman, Anne Dudek and Betty Gilpin.
The new drama Billy the Kid 8-episode drama will debut on EPIX on April 24 at 10 PM. This series will tell the story of American outlaw Billy the Kid (Tom Blyth) [also known as William H. Bonney] from his humble Irish roots, to his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond.
The small screen adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth will air two back-to-back episodes on April 24 at 10 and 11 PM on Showtime. Inspired by the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic David Bowie film, the series will follow a new alien character (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future. Naomie Harris will play Justin Falls, a brilliant scientist and engineer who must conquer her own demons in the race to save two worlds. The cast includes Bill Nighy, Clarke Peters, Jimmi Simpson and Kate Mulgrew.
Lastly, also on April 24, the season finale of the EPIX thriller From will air at 9 PM; while that same night the season finale of Outlander will air on Starz at 9 PM and also that night, Sanditon will air its season finale on PBS at 9 PM.
