Are you watching any of the cable series that have been airing this fall? If so, you will remember I posted the ratings results for those series about a month ago. It is now time to review the ratings for all of the cable shows since that last report.
Sons of Anarchy – The last four episodes have garnered the following ratings: 2.6 million, 2.7 million, 3.3 million and 3.2 million. The show averaged 3 million over that time. A new episode will air this coming Tuesday at 10 PM.
Terriers – The last four episodes have each earned less than one million per airing. The average for these episodes is 435,000 viewers. A new episode will air this coming Wednesday at 10 PM.
Boardwalk Empire – The last four episodes were viewed by 2.9 million, 2.8 million, 2.7 million and 3.2 million per each episode. The show averaged 2.9 million. The next episode will air this Sunday at 9 PM.
Dexter – The last four episode got 1.8 million, 1.9 million, 1.6 million and 1.9 million respectively. The average viewership was 1.7 million. The next episode will also air this Sunday at 9 PM.
Stargate Universe – The last four episodes received the following numbers: under 1 million for two episodes, 1.8 million and 1 million for other two. The average of these episodes is 1.1 million. A new episode will air this Tuesday at 9 PM.
Caprica – Unfortunately, the series only aired two more episodes before Syfy decided not to renew it, pulling the show before it could complete its run of episodes. The final five episodes of the season are supposedly going to air in early 2011. Those final two episodes garnered under 1 million viewers for an average of 775,000.
Sanctuary – The first four episodes have aired since the last report, getting 1.8 million, 1.3 million, 1.5 million and 1.3 million. The show’s average is 1.5 million viewers. An episode just aired this Friday (November 12), but it will be a few more days before the ratings are announced for that airing. The next new episode will air this coming Friday at 10 PM.
Tower Prep – The series debuted on October 19, airing four episodes thus far, which garnered an audience of 1.3 million, 1.1 million, 881,000 and 903,000 for each of the airings. The show’s average is 725,000 viewers. The next new episode will air on Tuesday at 8 PM.
Psych – The series just returned on November 10 for the remainder of its current season. The mid-season premiere earned 2.8 million viewers. The next new episode will air this Wednesday at 10 PM.
The Walking Dead – The series premiered on Halloween night, garnering an impressive 5.3 million viewers and its second episode held out for 4.7 million viewers, giving it an average of 5 million viewers. The next new episode will air this Sunday at 10 PM.
Luther – The BBC America 6-part mini-series has aired 4 episodes since its debut on October 17, but only the ratings for the first three episodes are currently available. Those numbers were 191,000, 164,000 and 137,000 for an average of 164,000 viewers. The next new episode will air on BBC America this Sunday at 7 PM.
Sherlock and Law & Order: UK – The ratings for these two series – the 3-part mini on PBS (Sherlock) and the BBC series (LOUK) have been difficult to track down with numbers being unattainable (to date) for Sherlock and hit or miss for LOUK. I will endeavor to track those numbers down where possible and report on them at a later time. Sherlock has completed its short run while LOUK is still airing new episodes on Friday nights at 9 and 10 PM on BBC America.
Stay tuned next month for more ratings details on these cable series.
