The end of the year is nearly here and it seems like the year has gone by so very fast. Right?! Regardless of what time of year it is there are always plenty of cable dramas, made-for-TV movies and mini-series to watch all over the TV. Here is how all of those programming options performed during the month of October:
CABLE DRAMAS
MONDAYS:
Switched at Birth – The ABC Family drama aired the final four episodes of its current, fourth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
October 5 – 793,000 viewers
October 12 – 751,000 viewers
October 19 – 952,000 viewers
October 26 – 836,000 viewers (Fall Finale)
This averages out to 833,000 viewers for October. Switched at Birth was recently renewed for a new season by ABC Family (soon to be known as FreeForm) and will return sometime in 2016.
Fargo – The acclaimed ABC anthology series returned for a second season on October 12, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
October 12 – 1.6 million (Season Premiere)
October 19 – 962,000 viewers
October 26 – 1.2 million
This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for October. New episodes of Fargo aired throughout November with the next new episode set to air on FX on Monday, November 30 at 10 PM. Those ratings will be included in November’s report.
TUESDAYS:
Public Morals – The new period piece TNT aired the final four episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
October 6 – 620,000 viewers
October 13 – 532,000 viewers
October 20 – 498,000 viewers (Part 1 Finale)
October 20 – 495,000 viewers (Part 2 Finale)
This averages out to 536,000 viewers for October. TNT has yet to renew Public Morals for a second season.
The Bastard Executioner – The FX period piece drama aired three new episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
October 6 – 1.1 million
October 13 – 942,000 viewers
October 20 – 833,000 viewers
October 27 – No episode aired
This averages out to 958,000 viewers for October. New episodes of The Bastard Executioner aired on November 3 and November 10. The season finale aired on November 17. Those ratings will be included in November’s report. The Bastard Executioner will not be returning for another season as FX has cancelled the show after only one season.
If Loving You Is Wrong – The OWN soap opera drama aired four more new episode of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
October 6 – 2 million
October 13 – 2 million
October 20 – 2 million
October 27 – 2.4 million
This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for October. New episodes of If Loving You Is Wrong aired all through November with the next new episode set to air on OWN on Tuesday, December 1 at 9 PM. Those ratings will be included in November’s report.
Finding Carter – The MTV drama returned for the second half of its second season on October 6, airing

Ties That Bind – The first original scripted drama on the UP Channel aired its final two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
October 7 – 90,000 viewers
October 14 – 135,000 viewers (Season Finale)
This averages out to approximately 113,000 viewers for October. UP Channel has yet to announce if Ties That Bind has been renewed for a second season.
American Horror Story: Hotel – The FX anthology series returned with a brand new story starting on October 7, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Kingdom – The DirecTV series returned for its second season starting on October 14, airing three episodes during the month. Unfortunately, no ratings could be tracked down for those episodes. Kingdom aired four new episodes in November. A new episode is expected to air on DirecTV on Wednesday, December 2 at 9 PM.
THURSDAYS:
Haven – The final episodes of the Syfy series returned starting on October 8 with two back-to-back episodes, as well as three additional new episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Fear the Walking Dead – The AMC spin-off series aired its season finale on October 4, earning 6.9 million viewers. Fear the Walking Dead received a second season order by AMC and will return sometime in 2016.
The Leftovers – The HBO drama returned for its second season starting on October 4, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
