Here is the list of the new programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On April 30, the season premiere of Elementary will air at 10 PM on CBS.

The third season of Colony will air on the USA Network on May 2 at 10 PM.

On May 4, the season finale of MacGyver will air on CBS at 8 PM and that same day, the new Netflix movie Anon will debut online today, starring Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried.

Call the Midwife will air its season finale on PBS on May 6 at 8 PM and that same night the following two, new half-hour dramas will debut on Starz at 8 and 8:30 PM:

Sweetbitter tells the story of Tess (Ella Purnell), a 22-year-old who arrives in New York City ready to pursue a new life. When she finds herself interviewing for a position at one of the best restaurants in the city, she thinks she’s found a steady income and a safe place to wait. But Tess is quickly intoxicated by the chaotic, adrenalized world behind-the-scenes, tasting expensive wine, exploring dive bars, and learning who she can trust. The cast also includes Caitlyn FitzGerald (UnReal) and Tom Sturridge (The Hollow Crown).

Vida focuses on two Mexican-American sisters, Emma (Mishel Prada) and Lyn (Melissa Barrera), from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and the surprising truth about their mother’s identity.

Also on May 6, Billions will air at the new time of 9 PM on Showtime.

Here are the news items for this past week:

RENEWALS/CANCELLATIONS

Crackle has given the streaming drama The Oath a second season order. (Variety)

Amazon has already given its upcoming Jack Ryan streaming series an 8-episode second season before the first season even debuts, which will happen on August 31. (Variety)

Hulu has canceled the streaming series The Path after three seasons. (Variety)

HBO has canceled drama Here and Now after only one season. (Variety)

Billions have been renewed for a 4th season by Showtime. (Variety)

CASTING NEWS

Actress Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) is going back to space on the small screen in the 10-episode sci-fi Netflix series Another Life, which centers on astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff) who is focused on searching for alien intelligence. She leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As Niko and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission. (Deadline)

Actress Lindsay Wagner (the Bionic Woman herself) will appear on Grey’s Anatomy as Helen Karev, the mother of Alex Karev (series regular Justin Chambers). (Deadline)

Tully
Opens: May 4

Marlo (Charlize Theron), a mother of three, is gifted a night nanny by her brother. Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising, and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully (Mackenzie Davis). The cast includes Mark Duplass and Ron Livingston.

Breaking In
Opens: May 11

A woman (Gabrielle Union) takes her two children on a weekend getaway to her late father’s secluded, high-tech estate in the countryside. She soon finds herself in a desperate fight to save all of their lives when four men break into the house in search of something. The film also stars Billy Burke, Richard Cabral and Jason George.

The Seagull
Opens: May 11

The heartbreaking and funny story of friends and lovers, all of whom are in love with the wrong person. The cast includes Saoirse Ronan, Elisabeth Moss, Annette Bening, Corey Stoll, Brian Dennehy, Mare Winningham and Jon Tenney.

Book Club
Opens: May 18

Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage, Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached, Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through her decades-old divorce, and Carol’s (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years. The lives of these four lifelong friends are turned upside down after reading the infamous “50 Shades of Grey,” catapulting them into a series of outrageous life choices. The film also stars Andy Garcia, Craig T. Nelson, Don Johnson, Alicia Silverstone, Richard Dreyfuss, Ed Begley, Jr. and Wallace Shawn.

Deadpool 2
Opens: May 18

Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) battles the evil and powerful Cable (Josh Brolin) and other bad guys to save a boy’s life. The cast includes Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Bill Skarsgard, Terry Crews, Eddie Marsan and Leslie Uggams.

On Chesil Beach
Opens: May 18

In 1962, newlyweds Edward and Florence (Saoirse Ronan), both in their early 20s and also both virgins, spend their honeymoon preoccupied and terrified by the upcoming consummation of their marriage. The film also stars Emily Watson.

Solo: A Star Wars Story
Opens: May 25

Through a series of daring escapades, young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) meets his future co-pilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover). The cast includes Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, Woody Harrelson and Jon Favreau.
