OutlanderSeason 32017Gallery Photos - New CharactersPictured: Cesar Domboy

Attention Outlander Fans!

As those of you who have read the book “Voyager” – on which the third season of the Outlander series is based – you know that young, adorable Fergus (played in season two by the equally adorable Romann Berrux) is all grown up. [Surprise to those of you who have not read the book, though!]

So the question has been – who will play Adult Fergus?

The answer to that comes from the folks at Entertainment Weekly who report that French actor César Domboy (from the box office movie The Walk) will be taking on the role of “adopted” son to Jamie and Claire (series leads Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe).

Here is the official description of his character from Starz:

“Born into a brothel, Fergus has grown up into a charming, devilishly handsome man with a strong sense of loyalty and decorum, despite his unconventional upbringing. He is the ultimate romantic, wearing his heart on his sleeve and falling in and out of love easily. However, Fergus’ devotion to Jamie has never wavered, making the Frenchman an integral part of the Fraser clan. Still, his debonair demeanor masks a longing for a lasting love and a permanent sense of belonging.”

Domboy has been working in film, TV, and theater in France for years, appearing in season 2 of The Borgias.

An official airdate has yet to be announced by Starz for the much-anticipated third season of Outlander; however, rumor has it that April 2017 just might be when the show returns.

Working with his team at the new Conviction Integrity Unit will let her use her brilliant mind to turn over cases where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction, and give her a chance to turn things around with her high-powered political family.
