Here is a list of programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
The small screen adaptation of Taken will debut on NBC on February 27 at 10 PM. The series follows the origin story of younger, hungrier former Green Beret Bryan Mills (Clive Standen from Vikings) as he deals with a personal tragedy that shakes his world. As he fights to overcome the trauma of the incident and exact revenge, Mills is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative, a job that awakens his very particular, and very dangerous, set of skills. In 30 years, this character is destined to become the Bryan Mills that we’ve come to love from the “Taken” films.
On March 1, the unprecedented four-series crossover event featuring Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med and the new series Chicago Justice will air on NBC between 8 and 11 PM. Chicago Justice: Just like their brethren in the Chicago P.D., the State’s Attorney’s dedicated team of prosecutors and investigators navigate heated city politics and controversy head-on, while fearlessly pursuing justice. As they take on the city’s high-stakes and often media-frenzied cases, they must balance public opinion, power struggles within the system and their unwavering passion for the law. At the center of the show is prosecutor Peter Stone (Philip Winchester from Strike Back), the ambitious Assistant State’s Attorney and Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau. Relentless in his quest for justice, it’s more than a job for Stone, it’s a purpose. Son of renowned New York City District Attorney Ben Stone, Stone is shooting at a target that only he can see. This often puts him in direct conflict with Mark Jefferies (Carl Weathers from Colony and Rocky franchise), the Cook County State’s Attorney who sees the world through a political prism. While Jefferies believes that a good prosecutor gives the jury and the public a clear, clean and digestible narrative, Stone is convinced the law isn’t always best served in a sound bite. Together with their team, Stone and Jefferies strive to bring some much-needed justice to the city of Chicago. The team also includes Assistant State’s Attorney Anna Valdez (Monica Barbaro from UnReal), a passionate newcomer, who’s more flexible and willing to bend the rules to get the right result; Laura Nagel (Joelle Carter from Justified), a tough-as-nails State’s Attorney Investigator that sees each case through the eyes of the victim; and Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda, formerly on Chicago P.D.), a level-headed and by-the-book detective turned Chief Investigator.
Also on March 1, the season finale of Suits will air on the USA Network at 10 PM.
The Lifetime original movie Custody will debut on March 4 at 8 PM, starring Catalina Sandino Moreno (The Affair), Hayden Panettiere (Nashville), Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), veteran actress Ellen Burstyn, Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk).
On March 5, Once Upon a Time will be back at 8 PM on ABC followed by the two-hour debut of the new series Time After Time at 9 PM. Time After Time: The series chronicles the adventures of a young H.G. Wells (Freddie Stroma from UnReal) as he travels through centuries, decades and days in the time machine he created. While in the pursuit of the charismatic (yet secretly psychopathic) Dr. John Stevenson (Josh Bowman from Revenge), better known as “Jack the Ripper,” Wells travels to modern day New York City in search of Stevenson following the doctor’s brazen escape from authorities in Wells’ London home. But instead of the Utopia he imagined, Wells finds a world more aligned with Stevenson’s temperament that leads him on a daring adventure full of mystery, romance and intrigue.
The new NBC drama Chicago Justice will air its official series premiere on March 5 at 9 PM followed by the season premiere of Shades of Blue at 10 PM.
Also on March 5, the new 8-part FX anthology series Feud: Bette and Joan will debut at 10 PM, starring Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford and Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis.
The new E! drama The Arrangement will debut on March 5 at 10 PM. The 10-part drama shows what happens when actress Megan Morrison (Christine Evangelista from Chicago Fire and The Walking Dead) auditions for the role of a lifetime, she also lands a Cinderella-esque date with A-list movie star Kyle West (Josh Henderson from Dallas). But things get complicated when Megan is offered a 10 million dollar marriage contract and is introduced to Kyle’s secretive self-help organization, The Institute of the Higher Mind. While Megan has a mysterious past she is trying to keep hidden, Kyle has secrets of his own. Terence (Michael Vartan from Alias) runs The Institute of the Higher Mind, a burgeoning self-help organization with a retreat-like campus in Malibu. Kyle credits both Terence and The Institute for his success. In addition to being Kyle’s best friend and closest confidante, Terence also helps manage his career, as his wife, DeAnn (Lexa Doig from Arrow and Continuum), is Kyle’s producing partner. Terence, whose motives are often unclear, created this contract to “protect” Kyle.
Lastly on March 5, the season finales of both Mercy Street and Victoria will air on PBS at 8 and 9 PM respectively.

Forking Shirtballs! Speculation Time on The Good Place

The Good Place ended earlier this season with a jaw-dropping finale that both resets the show and keeps it exactly the same.
With that idea in mind, and referencing just a bit of Supernatural and Groundhog’s Day, here’s what I’d love to see in Season Two of The Good Place:
1. Something like what happened in Supernatural’s “Mystery Spot”, where there are just enough changes to the second season from the first season for fans to notice, but still feel like a slightly different season;
2. More of Eleanor’s new soulmate. Man looked good;
3. Janet helping Eleanor figure out how to find Chidi, Jianyu and Tahani; and,
4. More characters that aren’t all connected to working with Michael and his grand design.
