Over the last week or so, there were some interesting searches made by visitors to the site and I wanted to share details based on those questions.

A number of readers asked questions about some of the cast for the recently aired Hallmark Channel movie “Backyard Wedding,” which starred Alicia Witt, as a soon-to-be-doctor who was getting married in the backyard of her family’s home. The actor who played her brother was portrayed by Brad Beyer, who viewers will remember as Stanley Richmond on the short-lived series Jericho. And, the actor who played Evan Slauson – the romantic lead in the movie – was Teddy Sears, who appeared in the short-lived series Raising the Bar and can be seen in the CBS series The Defenders.

There was also a question about the new guy on the Canadian series Being Erica, which just started airing new episodes this past Wednesday on SOAPnet. The actor’s name is Adam Fergus and is a relative newcomer with credits in a couple of little unknown films and some small appearances in a couple of European TV shows. His role on Being Erica can easily be considered his first real, big break on TV.

Some readers were interested in the status of the Cartoon Network shows Tower Prep and Unnatural History. Sadly, I have to report that Unnatural History has not been renewed and the 13 episodes that aired earlier this year will be the only episodes ever. Meanwhile, the fate of Tower Prep is still up in the air as an official announcement has yet to be made about the show’s future. But, if the show’s ratings are any indication, there is a good possibility it will not returned simply because the ratings for Tower Prep aren’t any higher than Unnatural History.

For those TV viewers in the US who are interested in seeing the Canadian series Lost Girl, you can see all of the episodes here. Please know that Lost Girl does not have a US distributor so it cannot be seen on any American channel; but it will return for a second season on the Canadian channel Showcase sometime this fall.
