Tackling the Past
The NBC movie Game Time: Tackling the Past, sponsored by Proctor and Gamble, will debut at 9 PM on September 3.
The movie follows pro football star Jake Walker (Ryan McPartlin from Chuck) who is living the dream or so he thinks. The veteran tight end is a fan favorite and on pace to set the all-time receiving yards record that will guarantee him a spot in the Hall of Fame. But then he learns his father Frank (Beau Bridges) has suffered a major heart attack and he needs to return to his small hometown in North Carolina after 15 years away. His life will be changed by several other circumstances, making it necessary for him to decide if he’ll go back to the NFL or stay in his hometown. The cast also includes Catherine Hicks (7th Heaven) and Josh Braaten (The Ex List).
