Cast of The Playboy Club
We’re two weeks into the new 2011-2012 fall TV season and it’s already time to start talking cancellations; at least in terms of which new show will be the first to go. And, given how poorly The Playboy Club has performed in its first two outings – 5 million viewers for its debut and 3.9 million from its second airing last night, the death knell is sounding LOUDLY.
You can look for this show to be the first casualty of the new season!

Honestly, I don’t know why they thought something called “The Playboy Club” would sell. Regardless of the actual content, between the current conservative climate in the US, and the general puritanical cultural streak, did they really think American viewers would be like, “Hey, I’m watching the Playboy Club!” They couldn’t even say it was just for the articles. š
Does make you wonder? And quite honestly, the pilot didn’t impress me regardless of the nature of the show or conservative views. It just wasn’t that good – to me – and obviously to a lot of other people.
