On January 19, the Hallmark Channel movie The Sweeter Side of Life will debut at 9 PM.

Kathryn Morris (Cold Case) plays Desiree Harper, whose perfect life as the wife of a high-powered Manhattan doctor comes to a sudden end when her husband says he wants a divorce and invokes their ironclad pre-nup to leave her penniless. Desiree soon finds herself abandoned by her rich friends and back in her New Jersey hometown helping her father in his struggling bakery. Though Desiree wants nothing more than to return to her high-class life, spending time with her father causes her to see things differently. She rediscovers her love of baking and puts her business degree to work to save her father’s shop. Desiree’s success at the bakery leads to an unexpected opportunity which forces her to choose between what she has lost and the new life she has found.

The cast includes James Best (from the original TV series The Dukes of Hazzard) as Desiree’s father.
