TELEVISION

Actor Sean Patrick Flanery (The Dead Zone and The Young & the Restless) and veteran British actress Charlotte Rampling (the mini-series Restless) will both have recurring roles in the upcoming 8th season of Dexter. Flanery will play Jacob Elroy, the ex-cop owner of a private investigation company in Miami while Rampling will play a neuro-psychiatrist who specializes in working with young psychopaths and profiling criminals in unorthodox ways. Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes and Covert Affairs) has been promoted to series regular status on Beauty And the Beast. He will play Assistant District Attorney Gabe Lowen starting on February 28. (Philiana Ng at The Hollywood Reporter)

BOX OFFICE NEWS

Actress Dakota Fanning has been cast in the upcoming box office film The Last Of Robin Hood alongside actor Kevin Kline, who plays the leading role of legendary actor Errol Flynn. Fanning will play teenage actress Beverly Aadland, who was 17-years-old and by Flynn’s side when he died at the age of 50 in 1959. Actress Susan Sarandon will play Beverly’s mother.
