Hey All,
Here are the news items for today:
TELEVISION
Film star Peter Sarsgaard has joined the cast of the returning AMC drama The Killing. He will play Tom Seward, a death row inmate for whom the clock is ticking down. A lifelong convict born into poverty and crime, Seward’s been in and out of the system for violent crimes since he was 10. Not ever wanting to appear weak, every interaction is a challenge, and one he must dominate. (James Hibberd at Entertainment Weekly)
Actress Shohreh Aghdashloo (24) has landed a recurring role on the NBC fairytale drama Grimm, playing Stefania Vaduva Popescu, a powerful ally sought out by Adalind (Claire Coffee). Stefania is referred to as the “Zigeunersprache,” or Queen of the Schwarzwald Gypsies, and her family’s roots run deep in the woods of Austria. Grimm returns with new episodes starting on March 8. (Michael Ausiello at TV Line)
Actress Cara Buono (Mad Men) will guest star in an upcoming March episode of Castle, playing Siobhan O’Doul, a beautiful bar owner who has found herself in too deep with the Staten Island Mafia. She will share a mysterious past with Detective Ryan (Seamus Dever). (Matt Mitovich at TV Line)

Q&A SECTION (with Team Watch with Kristin at E! Online, Natalie Abrams and Adam Bryant at TV Guide, Michael Ausiello at TV Line and Sandra Gonzalez at Entertainment Weekly)
Question: Is Rayna headed for a breakdown on Nashville? – Amy in Ohio
Team Watch with Kristin: Possibly. But maybe Katie Couric will help pull her out of it. Or Rayna will appear on Couric’s talk show to try and fix her image after her breakdown. Either way, the real Katie Couric is appear on an upcoming episode to speak with Rayna. The storyline that leads to the interview is too good to spoil.
Question: So excited Arrow was renewed for season two! Got any scoop to help me celebrate? – Ethan
Team Watch with Kristin: China White will be returning next week! Yes, Kelly Hu returns after Oliver’s mother, Moira, requires China’s skills for a certain task. It may or may not involve murder. Don’t worry; it’s not all murder attempts as Oliver will find time to go on a date, as does Diggle!
Question: What’s going on with Once Upon a Time?! Please tell me anything you might now! – TigerLily2736
Team Watch with Kristin: Mr. Gold is finally cashing in his favor! Yep, Emma must finally do a solid for Gold and let’s just say fans might be a bit disappointed at first when it’s revealed after such a long wait. Not disappointing? The bounty of emotional reveals the favor leads to. Have tissues on hand.
Question: Any Nikita scoop? – Caitlin
Team Watch with Kristin: It’s time for some back-story on Amanda! Episode 18 will tell us more about Amanda’s past and we suggest viewers rewatch season two’s “Power” before tuning in as the flashback to Nikita and Amanda’s first meeting will play into the episode.
Question: Why is David Rosen being framed for murder on Scandal?! — Kate
NATALIE: We were just as shocked as you by the promo, so we got Josh Malina to fill us in — sort of. “First of all, can we really be surprised? After everything poor David Rosen has been put through, wouldn’t it be a disappointment if he didn’t wake up next to a dead woman? And, sure, the promo suggests he’s been framed, but all we see is Olivia saying that. She could be wrong. You feel me?” Let the conspiracy theories begin!
Question: Any Klaus scoop before he heads to New Orleans on The Vampire Diaries? — Rachel
NATALIE: Can we say hot hybrid sex? Joseph Morgan’s wishes have been granted and in an episode to air in March, Klaus is finally getting some lovin’.
Question: Do you have any news on the upcoming NCIS: LA spin-off? — Bradley, via Twitter
ADAM: In the backdoor pilot episode of NCIS: LA, our merry band of agents meet the NCIS: Red team when a Marine’s murder in Idaho bears a striking resemblance to that of a suspected terrorist in Los Angeles. Sam and Callen head to Idaho, where they spend the night (in perhaps uncomfortably close quarters!) at the mobile unit’s makeshift headquarters. Although there is some mild flirtation between Callen and Kim Raver’s Agent Paris, it seems she’s not exactly over John Corbett’s retired analyst. But it’s not all about the new team: Look for that mysterious box that was addressed to Kensi in “Kill House” to reappear — this time on Deeks’ desk!
Question: Can’t wait for Body of Proof to come back! What’s the dynamic like between Megan and Mark Valley’s new character Tommy? — Lisa
ADAM: Although the premiere doesn’t give us too much of Megan and Tommy’s back-story, it’s clear from Megan’s icy demeanor that she’s still a bit heartbroken. But she’s got bigger problems to worry about, including… her daughter being kidnapped! When Megan’s maternal instincts cloud her judgment and her daughter is put in harm’s way, look for Tommy to literally save her life. That ought to melt the ice a bit!
Question: I can’t wait for this week’s Once Upon a Time! Is there anything you can tell us about Mr. Gold’s reunion with his son? — Dakota
NATALIE: The details of how this reunion takes place were actually foretold long ago, as a flashback will reveal — and that’s not a good thing, at least for one series regular. Suffice it to say, do not miss the final 30 seconds of Sunday’s episode.
Question: Got any spoilers about the new season of Psych? — Heath
ADAM: Relationship troubles abound! Look for Shawn to be majorly uncomfortable when Juliet is forced to go on a number of dates for an undercover case she’s working. (Making matters worse, she’s dating mature, successful guys while Shawn is home sitting on his parents’ couch!) Elsewhere, Gus’ new relationship might be over before it starts once Shawn becomes convinced that she’s a serial killer.
Question: Is there any chance we’ll see Tony’s Bucket List again anytime soon on NCIS? Maybe even Tony doing something from the Bucket List? —Caro
Ausiello: Either you have the NCIS production offices bugged or, as exec producer Gary Glasberg suspects, you’re “reading the writers’ collective minds.” Either way, Glasberg confirms that the topic of Tony’s Bucket List “recently came up as we were discussing the season-ending arc.” The boss says no decision has been made whether they’ll revisit that particular story this season, but he does offers another piece of intel to satisfy your scoop craving. “Prepare to see an aspect of the Gibbs mythology the audience has never seen before,” he teases, before adding this telltale clue: “Ever wonder where Gibbs gets his hair cut?”
Question: The synopsis for this Sunday’s Once Upon a Time says, “Rumplestiltskin realizes his destiny while fighting in the Ogre Wars.” What does this mean, and what does it have to do with the seer(s) that have been cast for this episode? —Bezi
Ausiello: What it means is that a seer shares with Rumplestiltskin a warning about his fate… but neglects to include some extremely pertinent details. What follows is a painful, painful* lesson in, “Always ask follow-up questions!” (*The second “painful” is for the back-story you’re about to get on Rumple’s limp.)
Question: I need some scoop on The Lying Game! Any new love interests on the horizon for Laurel now that Jordan is out of the picture? —Stacie
Ausiello: Who says Jordan is out of the picture? Certainly not Allie Gonino (aka Laurel), who tells us the twosome “end up doing something together” in the very near future. “It’s not anything serious,” she clarifies. “Laurel just goes along with it.” OK, sounds like he is out of the picture. Regardless, Gonino says Laurel is “pretty apathetic” about romance at the moment, adding, “She’s a strong girl. I don’t think she seeks validation or associates who she is with whatever guy she’s involved with. She’s kind of just along for the ride.”
Question: Scandal scoop, pretty please! Anything on POTUS if you have it. —Mandy
Ausiello: If you thought that Cyrus got a free pass from “enlightened” Fitz — and that is why we didn’t get to see the president confront his chief of staff about the rigged election — Shonda Rhimes is here to set the record straight. “That is not true,” she told us. “When we come back [this Thursday] and it’s 10 months later, you begin to see the aftereffects of what happened with Fitz and his relationship with Cyrus. You will see how that consequence is played out.”
Question: I would dearly love some hints to narrow down who’s dying soon on The Vampire Diaries. Is it a male or female character? And does the death stick? —Audrey
Ausiello: Fun fact: Lost amid all this departure chatter is the potentially bigger news of an imminent, shocking and much-anticipated return.
Question: I need some Castle scoop. Is it true that Molly Quinn (Alexis) is leaving the show? —Laura
Ausiello: Hadn’t heard that one. But I did a little digging and multiple sources assure me that it most definitely is not true. Those same sources suspect the rumor probably got started because Alexis gets kidnapped in the Feb. 18 episode, the first half of the annual February sweeps two-parter.
Question: Spoilers for Beauty and the Beast please! – EWOK
Sandra: The grim reaper is paying a visit — VERY soon.
That’s it. Enjoy!
