Here are the news items, few though they are, for today:

TELEVISION

Actor Jeffrey Wright (Angels in America) has joined the cast of the HBO drama Boardwalk Empire. He will play Valentin Narcisse, Doctor of Divinity, philanthropist, student of culture and the man who runs Harlem. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

CBS has moved their new drama Vegas to Friday nights at 9 PM in order to allow new drama Golden Boy to take over the Tuesday at 10 PM timeslot. (The Wrap)

BOX OFFICE NEWS

Actress Keri Russell (The Americans) will have the female lead in the sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, but the role has yet to be identified so there are no specifics at this time. (Variety and Dark Horizons)

Question: Toby can’t really be dead on Pretty Little Liars, right?! – Lauren D.

Team Watch with Kristin: Well, we do meet his mother in the season four premiere, but she’s in her pajamas, which is a weird detail, no? Also not a good sign: A reporter will also be in the episode, detailing a sad story, as well as a State cop who is part of an investigation. Ruh-roh!
