TELEVISION
The Canadian series Bomb Girls, which is airing its second season on Reelz Channel right now, will be coming to an end with a two-hour movie event coming in the winter of 2014. (The Futon Critic)
DEVELOPMENT NEWS
FX has bought a drama pitch from author James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential) and producers Joe Roth and Clark Peterson that will be based on Ellroy’s 2012 novella called Shakedown. The project is set in the tabloid world and underbelly of Los Angeles circa the late 1950s, centering on the city’s top informant/operator/wire tapper/fixer, Fred Otash, who lives and works where the glamour and the grime intersect. BOX OFFICE NEWS
Actor Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) has joined the cast of the upcoming box office film Hercules 3D that will star Twilight Saga actor Kellan Lutz in the lead role. McIntyre will play the young army captain Sotiris who becomes Hercules’ most trusted battlefield companion. (Heat Vision and Dark Horizons)
