ABC is finalizing a deal on a 13-episode straight-to-series order for a new drama called The Black Box from writer Amy Holden Jones, who will be executive producing with Ilene Chaiken (creator of The L Word) and X-Men director Bryan Singer. The project will center on Elizabeth Black, world renowned neuroscientist who appears to have it all but is constantly haunted by her own struggle with mental illness. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)
BOX OFFICE NEWS
Actresses Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Melissa Leo (The Fighter) will star in the upcoming box office film The End of Love, a touching and genuine story examining the relationship a struggling actor and father has with his son in the wake of losing the child’s mother. (Variety and First Showing)
Actor Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) will star in the upcoming movie The Outsider that follows the life of a former American G.I. who becomes part of the infamous Yakuza criminal organization in Japan shortly after World War II. (First Showing)
