July is now over and it’s time to look at the cable ratings for the month for both cable series and made-for-TV movies:

Those ratings are all listed below:

CABLE SHOWS

MONDAYS:

Defiance – The new Syfy series aired its final two episodes of its debut season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 1.9 million
July 8 – 2.2 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for the month. Defiance will return to Syfy for its second season in June 2014.

Warehouse 13 – The Syfy series also aired its final two episodes of its current season in July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 1.4 million
July 8 – 1.4 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for the month. Warehouse 13 will return for its final season on Syfy sometime in 2014.

The Glades – The A&E cop drama aired four more new episodes from its fourth season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 2.6 million
July 8 – 2.5 million
July 15 – 2.4 million
July 22 – Repeat episode
July 29 – 2.4 million

This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for the month. The Glades will air a new episode on A&E on Monday, August 5 at 9 PM.

Longmire – The A&E drama aired four more new episodes for its second season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 3.5 million
July 8 – 3.6 million
July 15 – 3.4 million
July 22 – Repeat episode
July 29 – 3.5 million

This averages out to 3.5 million viewers for the month. Longmire will air a new episode on A&E on Monday, August 5 at 10 PM.

Hit the Floor – The finale five episodes of the new original scripted VH1 sports-themed drama aired during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 2.1 million
July 8 – 2.2 million
July 15 – 2.2 million
July 22 – 2.5 million
July 29 – 2.6 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for the month. Hit the Floor has been renewed for a second season by VH1, but a return date has not been announced.

Switched at Birth – Five new episodes of the popular ABC Family drama aired during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 1.6 million
July 8 – 2 million
July 15 – 1.8 million
July 22 – 1.8 million
July 29 – 1.8 million

This averages out to 1.8 million viewers for the month. Switched at Birth will air a new episode on ABC Family on Monday, August 5 at 8 PM.

The Fosters – The new ABC Family drama will air five new episodes of its debut season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 1 – 1.8 million
July 8 – 1.8 million
July 15 – 1.8 million
July 22 – 1.9 million
July 29 – 1.9 million

This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for the month. The Fosters will air its summer finale on ABC Family on Monday, August 5 at 9 PM.

Teen Wolf – The MTV thriller aired five more new episodes of its current season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for the month. The Bridge will air another new episode on FX on Wednesday, August 7 at 10 PM.

THURSDAY:

Burn Notice – The popular, long-running USA Network spy drama aired three more new episodes of its final season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 4 – No episode due to holiday
July 11 – 3 million
July 18 – 2.9 million
July 25 – 3.1 million

This averages out to 3 million viewers for the month. Burn Notice aired a new episode on the USA Network on August 1 and will air another new episode on Thursday, August 8 at 9 PM.

Graceland – The USA Network undercover agent drama aired three new episodes of its debut season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 4 – No episode due to holiday
July 11 – 1.9 million
July 18 – 1.9 million
July 25 – 2 million

This averages out to 1.9 million viewers for the month. Graceland did not air a new episode on August 1, but another new episode will air on the USA Network on Thursday, August 8 at 10 PM.

FRIDAYS:

Continuum – The Canadian series aired four more new episodes of its second season on Syfy during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 5 – 1 million
July 12 – 1.3 million
July 19 – 1.2 million
July 26 – 1.3 million

This averages out to 1.2 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Continuum aired on August 2 on Syfy with another new episode set to air on Friday, August 9 at 10 PM.

Magic City – The Starz period drama aired four more new episodes of its current season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 5 – Ratings could not be tracked down
July 12 – Ratings could not be tracked down
July 19 – 338,000 viewers
July 26 – 492,000 viewers

This averages out to approximately 415,000 viewers for the month. A new episode of Magic City aired on August 2 with another new episode set to air on Starz on Friday, August 9 at 9 PM.

SATURDAYS:

Sinbad – The short-run European period piece aired three more new episodes on Syfy during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 6 – 842,000 viewers
July 13 – 860,000 viewers
July 20 – 733,000 viewers
July 27 – No episode aired

This averages out to 812,000 viewers for the month. A marathon of Sinbad episodes aired today, August 3 with the final five episodes of the one-season-only series aired on Syfy that day. Ratings for all of those episodes will be provided in the August cable report.

Primeval: New World – This short-run spin-off series of the popular UK drama Primeval also aired three more new episodes on Syfy during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 6 – 1 million
July 13 – 910,000 viewers
July 20 – 918,000 viewers
July 27 – No episode aired

This averages out to 943,000 viewers for the month. A marathon of Primeval: New World episodes will air on August 10 with the final six episodes of the one-season-only series aired on Syfy that day. Ratings for all of those episodes will be provided in the August cable report.

Cedar Cove – The first original scripted drama on the Hallmark Channel debuted with a two-hour airing on July 20 and airing a new one-hour episode on July 27. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 20 – 2.6 million (Two-Hour Premiere)
July 27 – 2.4 million

This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Cedar Cove aired on the Hallmark Channel today, August 3 with another new episode set to air on Saturday, August 10 at 8 PM.

Being Human – The UK original supernatural series returned for its final season on BBC America, airing three episodes during July. The ratings for these episodes are as follows:

July 13 – 120,000 viewers
July 20 – 110,000 viewers
July 2 – 80,000 viewers

This averages out to 103,000 viewers for the month. A new episode of Being Human aired on BBC America today, August 3 with another new episode to air on Saturday, August 10 at 10 PM.

SUNDAYS:

The Killing – The AMC drama aired another four new episodes of its current season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 7 – 1.6 million
July 14 – 1.5 million
July 21 – 1.4 million
July 28 – 1.5 million

This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for the month. The next new episode of The Killing will air on AMC on Sunday, August 4 at 9 PM.

Falling Skies – The TNT alien invasion four more new episodes of its current season during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

There were just a little over a handful of made-for-TV movies that aired during July. The ratings for those movies are as follows:

The Hallmark Channel movie Second Chances aired in July, earning 2.8 million viewers.

The Lifetime movies that aired included the following:

Hidden Away – 1.6 million
Perfect Boyfriend – Ratings could not be tracked down

The Disney movie Teen Beach Movie debuted in July, earning 8.4 million viewers.

The BET movie Being Mary Jane premiered in July, garnering 4 million viewers.

The Syfy movie Sharknado earned 1.4 million during its debut airing in July; and became an internet sensation.

The 4-part PBS Masterpiece Mystery mini-series Endeavour aired all through July, but ratings could not be tracked down for any of its airings.

Ratings results for the cable series and the made-for-TV movies that are set to air in August that can be tracked down will be provided as soon as possible in September.
