Hey All,
Here are the news items for today, few though they are:
DEVELOPMENT NEWS
Actor Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Low Winter Sun and Castle) will co-star alongside Ed Burns in the TNT pilot called Public Morals that will be set in 1967 in New York City’s Public Morals Division, where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that come from dealing with all kinds of vice can get the better of them. The pilot will center on cop Terry Muldoon (Burns), who knows the line between the good guys and bad guys is thin, and he is determined to raise his sons to be honest and hardworking as he deals with the dark underbelly of the vice world. Santiago-Hudson will play Lt. King, a womanizing badass, beloved and revered by the department, who has just as much drama outside of the workplace as there is inside the workplace. Q&A SECTION (with Matt Mitovich at TV Line and TV Scoop Team at E! Online)
Question: The Arrow midseason finale was epic!! Any scoop on what’s to come in later episodes? –Jennifer
Mitovich: Given all that has transpired since she last visited – e.g. Sara’s super-secret “resurrection,” Laurel’s downward spiral – Alex Kingston’s encore as Dinah Lance promises to be a doozy. “Episode 14 is probably the most Brothers & Sisters episode we’ve done,” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg says, with a nod to fellow EP Greg Berlanti’s ABC drama. “Everyone in the Lance family has big secrets and it’s all going to get blown wide open, but in a good way.”
Question: I’m really digging Jared Padalecki’s dual portrayal of Sam and Ezekiel on this season of Supernatural, but I’m a bit bummed that we only got one episode of Tahmoh Penikett as the angel. Any hope of him returning to the role once Zeke is inevitably kicked out of Sam’s body? –Grace
Mitovich: Executive producer Jeremy Carver hints that “we might” see the BSG alum portray Gadreel at some point. “There are lots of different ways, shapes and forms people can appear on the show. Past, present…,” he notes. “People shouldn’t rush to any one conclusion. Just know there are a lot of different ways he could appear.”
Question: I need an update on The Blacklist’s Ressler ASAP. He was not looking too good! – Lexi
TV Scoop Team: Oh, you mean after getting shot in the leg and almost dying before being fixed up by Red? Yeah, that’s pretty much the definition of “not looking too good,” so we’re happy to report Ressler will fully be back in action when the series returns. And he’ll have a new accessory with him: a cane. But it won’t prevent him from chasing down perps, getting shot at, trading quips with Liz, etc.
Question: In desperate need of Once Upon a Time scoop, especially anything on the spin they’ll be putting on The Wizard of Oz! – George
TV Scoop Team: Pack your bags ’cause we’re hitting the yellow brick road. Sources tell us the show is actually going to Oz. Producers are in the process of figuring out what they can and can’t use, based on what comes from the books, the movie or the Broadway musical. Most of what we see will be taken from the books, like the flying monkeys!
Question: I heard that the winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars is really good! Are we going to get any Ezria scenes? – Lyndsey
TV Scoop Team: Brace yourselves, Ezria fans, because you’re about to get smacked in the face with a whole lot of emotions: Rage. Curiosity. Denial. Excitement. You may even swoon once or twice. Ian Harding has perfectly mastered Ezra’s new hot/creepy vibe and there’s no denying that Aria is totally picking up the crazy that he’s putting down.
That’s it. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend!!
