Hey All,
TELEVISION
Actor Gary Dourdan (CSI) has landed a recurring role on the BET hour-long comedy Being Mary Jane where he will play Sheldon Armstrong, a smoothly charming and casually handsome retired civil trial attorney who made a fortune suing corrupt corporations. He’s coming out of retirement to pursue his charitable outreach. He’s famous for never having given an interview in his life — but when Mary Jane (series lead Gabrielle Union) sets out to interview him, he is quite taken with her and just might change his mind. Dourdan will also appear in an upcoming episode of Glee, playing D’Shon, Mercedes’ (Amber Riley) record producer. (The Deadline Team)
Actress Sammi Hanratty (best known for playing young Chuck on Pushing Daisies) has landed a recurring role on the WGN America thriller Salem where she will play Dottie, a leader among her peers whom Mercy (series regular Elise Eberle) knows a little from school. She’s a confident young girl who brings her classmates over to talk with Mercy. She’s in awe of Mercy’s power and wants her to put it to particular use. (The Deadline Team)
Actor Coby Ryan McLaughlin (The Secret Life of the American Teenager and The Glades) has landed a recurring role on the USA Network drama Graceland, playing Archie, a mainstay in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Gang Task Force, who is sharp as a tack and loyal to a fault. The members of Graceland hope he’ll be an ally in their mission to destroy a cartel. (Philiana Ng at The Hollywood Reporter)
