Castle will be back with new episodes after a short mid-season break on ABC on April 21 at 10 PM.
On April 23, the original UP Channel movie Apple Mortgage Cake will debut at 7 PM. Kimberly Elise (Diary of a Mad Black Woman) will star in the fact-based movie as Angela Logan, a single working mother with three teenage boys who juggles various jobs and provides employment counseling at the local mission. When her home is put into foreclosure, she decides to back 100 apple cakes and sell them to save her home. As word of the bake sale spreads, so does her story, eventually making international headlines.
The new ABC drama Black Box will debut on April 24 at 10 PM. Catherine Black (Kelly Reilly from Sherlock Holmes) is a world-famous neurologist at the state-of-the-art medical institution known as “The Cube”. She’s a brilliant doctor hiding a secret: she’s bipolar. Each week the doctors on staff attempt to unravel the mysterious of the brain and constantly challenging cases. The cast will also include Terry Kinney (Oz) and legendary actress Vanessa Redgrave.
On April 26, the second part of the 4-part BBC America special The Real History of Science Fiction focusing on Space will air at 10 PM.
