Actor Will Yun Lee (The Wolverine) will have a major recurring role in the upcoming seventh and final season of True Blood. He will play Mr. Gus, a Japanese businessman living in Texas, whose bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanor nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons. But, Gus is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it. (The Deadline Team)
Actor Tyler Hilton (One Tree Hill) will have a recurring role on the upcoming CBS sci-fi drama Extant that will star Halle Berry. Hilton will play Charlie, the chief coder of the Humanichs Project, which sits at the center of the series. (Kaitlin Thomas at TV Guide)
Actor Ben Feldman (Mad Men) will come back to Drop Dead Diva for its final season, reprising his role of Jane’s angel Fred. (Mandi Bierly at Entertainment Weekly)

Actress Kristin Chenoweth (Glee) will appear in the Disney Channel live-action movie Descendants who will Maleficent, who “butts horns” with her daughter Mal (Dove Cameron) in a story that is set in a present-day idyllic kingdom where the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. The cast also includes Booboo Stewart (Twilight franchise), Cameron Boyce (Jessie) and newcomers Sofia Carson and Mitchell Hope. (The Deadline Team)

Actor Scott Eastwood (son of Clint Eastwood) has landed the lead role in the upcoming Nicholas Sparks film The Longest Ride, based on the author’s 2013 novel, which centers on an elderly man who, stranded after a car crash, recounts his younger years with the love of his life. In a nearby town at a local bull-riding event, a college senior meets a young cowboy, and the two begin to fall for each other, drastically changing their lives forever. The romantic drama follows the two couples, who have little in common, as their lives converge. Eastwood will play the young cowboy Luke. (Rebecca Ford at The Hollywood Reporter)
Actor Matt Smith (Doctor Who) has joined the cast of the upcoming reboot to the Terminator franchise. He will play a major role that will grow in the second and third films, but little else is known about his role or the film for that matter. (Mike Fleming, Jr. at Deadline)
