April is now behind us (how is it May already?) and that means it’s time to go over the ratings in regards to cable dramas, made-for-TV movies and mini-series that aired during the month.

Those ratings are all listed below:

CABLE DRAMAS

MONDAYS:

Lost Girl – The Syfy series aired the season finale of its fourth season on April 7, earing 815,000 viewers. Lost Girl will return for a fifth season, but an official air date has yet to be announced.

Being Human – The series finale of the Syfy adaptation of the British series of the same name aired on April 7, garnering 1.4 million viewers.

Bitten – The new Canadian series aired its season finale on April 7, getting 813,000 viewers. There is no news on whether Bitten has been picked-up by Syfy for a second season yet.

Dallas – The TNT series aired two new episodes of its third season during April before its mid-season break. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 7 – 1.9 million
April 14 – 2.1 million (Mid-Season Finale)

This averages out 2 million for April. Dallas will be back for the rest of its third season on TNT starting on August 18.

Bates Motel – The second season of the A&E thriller aired four episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 7 – 2.2 million
April 14 – 2.4 million
April 21 – 2.1 million
April 28 – 2.3 million

This averages out 2.3 million for April. The season finale of Bates Motel will air on A&E on Monday, May 5 at 10 PM.

Warehouse 13 – The long-running Syfy series started its fifth and final (short) season on April 14, airing three episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 7 – 1.2 million
April 14 – 1.2 million
April 21 – 1.1 million

This averages out 1.2 million for April. The next new episode of Warehouse 13 will air on Syfy on Monday, May 5 at 9 PM.

TUESDAYS:

Justified – The FX drama aired the final two episodes of its fifth season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 1 – 2 million
April 8 – 2.4 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.2 million viewers for April. Justified will be back for its sixth and final season on FX sometime, most likely, in 2015.

Twisted – The final episode of the new ABC Family drama aired on April 1, earning 773,000 viewers. It is unclear at this time if ABC Family will renew Twisted for a second season.

Fargo – The small screen adaptation of the box office film debuted on FX on Aril 15, airing three episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 15 – 2.6 million
April 22 – 2 million
April 29 – 1.9 million

This averages out to 2.2 million viewers for April. The next new episode of Fargo will air on FX on Tuesday, May 6 at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAYS:

The Americans – The FX period piece aired five more episodes of its second season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 2 – 1.2 million
April 9 – 1.2 million
April 16 – 1.4 million
April 23 – 1.4 million
April 30 – 1.3 million

This averages out to 1.3 million viewers during April. A new episode of The Americans will air on FX on Wednesday, May 7 at 10 PM.

THURSDAYS:

Vikings – The History Channel series aired four more new episodes of its second season during April and its season finale on May 1. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 3 – 3 million
April 10 – 3.1 million
April 17 – 2.9 million
April 24 – 3.1 million
May 1 – 3.4 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 3.1 million viewers for April-May. Vikings was renewed for a third season by the History Channel, but an official air date has yet to be announced.

Suits – The USA Network legal drama returned with its mid-season premiere and aired four episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 3 – 2.5 million
April 10 – 2.4 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for April. Suits will be back for a new season on USA Network on June 11.

FRIDAYS:

Continuum – The Syfy series returned for its second season on Syfy on April 4. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 4 – 812,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
April 11 – 876,000 viewers
April 18 – 825,000 viewers
April 25 – 750,000 viewers

This averages out to 816,000 viewers for April. A new episode of Continuum aired on May 2 with another new episode set to air on Syfy on Friday, May 9 at 9 PM.

SATURDAYS:

Ripper Street – The BBC America period piece drama aired the final two episodes of its second season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 5 – 145,000 viewers (approximate average)
April 12 – 188,000 viewers (approximate average) [Season Finale]

This averages out to approximately 167,000 viewers during April. While Ripper Street had been canceled, Amazon Prime Instant Video has picked up the show and will air a third season at some point.

Orphan Black – The second season of the acclaimed BBC America series premiered on April 19, airing two episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 19 – 620,000 viewers (approximate average) [Season Premiere]
April 26 – 718,000 viewers (approximate average)

This averages out to approximately 669,000 viewers for April. A new episode of Orphan Black aired on May 3 with another new episode set to air on BBC America on Saturday, May 10 at 9 PM.

Da Vinci’s Demons – The Starz period piece drama actually returned for its second season on March 22, airing two episodes in March and four episodes in April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 22 – 578,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
March 29 – 390,000 viewers
April 5 – 263,000 viewers (approximate average)
April 12 – 317,000 viewers (approximate average)
April 19 – 219,000 viewers (approximate average)
April 26 – 185,000 viewers (approximate average)

This averages out to approximately 325,000 viewers for March-April. A new episode of Da Vinci’s Demons aired on May 3 with another new episode set to air on Starz on Saturday, May 10 at 9 PM.

SUNDAYS:

Drop Dead Diva – The Lifetime dramedy aired three more episodes from its sixth and final season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 6 – 1.4 million
April 13 – 1.1 million
April 20 – No episode aired
April 27 – 1.3 million

This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for April. A new episode of Drop Dead Diva will air tonight, May 4 at 9 PM with another new episode set to air on Lifetime on Sunday, May 11.

Game of Thrones – The HBO period piece drama returned for its fourth season starting on April 6, airing four episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 6 – 6.6 million (Season Premiere)
April 13 – 6.3 million
April 20 – 6.6 million
April 27 – 8.4 million

This averages out to 7 million viewers for April. A new episode of Game of Thrones will air tonight, May 4 at 9 PM with another new episode set to air on HBO on Sunday, May 11.

Turn – The new AMC period piece drama debuted on April 6, airing four episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 6 – 2.1 million (Series Debut)
April 13 – 1.9 million
April 20 – 1.4 million
April 27 – 1.3 million

This averages out to 1.7 million viewers for April. A new episode of Turn will air tonight, May 4 at 9 PM with another new episode set to air on AMC on Sunday, May 11.

Mad Men – The finale season of the AMC award-winning series started on April 13, airing three episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 13 – 2.3 million (Season Premiere)
April 20 – 1.9 million
April 27 – 2 million

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for April. A new episode of Mad Men will air tonight, May 4 at 10 PM with another new episode set to air on AMC on Sunday, May 11.

Devious Maids – The Lifetime soap opera returned for its second season on April 20, airing two episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 20 – 2 million (Season Premiere)
April 27 – 1.7 million

This averages out to 1.9 million viewers for April. A new episode of Devious Maids will air tonight, May 4 at 10 PM with another new episode set to air on Lifetime on Sunday, May 11.

Signed Sealed Delivered – The new Hallmark Channel series debuted on April 20, airing two episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 20 – 1.2 million (Series Debut)
April 27 – 1 million

This averages out to 1.1 million viewers for April. A new episode of Signed Sealed Delivered will air tonight, May 4 at 8 PM with another new episode set to air on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, May 11.

Salem – The WGN America thriller debuted on April 20, airing two episodes in April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

April 20 – 1.5 million (Series Debut)
April 27 – 455,000 viewers (approximate average)

This averages out to 978,000 viewers for April. A new episode of Salem will air tonight, May 4 at 10 PM with another new episode set to air on WGN America on Sunday, May 11.

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES AND MINI-SERIES

There were not quite a dozen made-for-TV movies and mini-series that aired on the cable networks during April. Here is a list of those movies where ratings could be found (listed highest to lowest):

Here are the news items for Thursday and Friday:

TELEVISION

Actor Will Yun Lee (The Wolverine) will have a major recurring role in the upcoming seventh and final season of True Blood. He will play Mr. Gus, a Japanese businessman living in Texas, whose bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanor nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons. But, Gus is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it. (The Deadline Team)

Actor Tyler Hilton (One Tree Hill) will have a recurring role on the upcoming CBS sci-fi drama Extant that will star Halle Berry. Hilton will play Charlie, the chief coder of the Humanichs Project, which sits at the center of the series. (Kaitlin Thomas at TV Guide)

Actor Ben Feldman (Mad Men) will come back to Drop Dead Diva for its final season, reprising his role of Jane’s angel Fred. (Mandi Bierly at Entertainment Weekly)

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIE NEWS

Actress Kristin Chenoweth (Glee) will appear in the Disney Channel live-action movie Descendants who will Maleficent, who “butts horns” with her daughter Mal (Dove Cameron) in a story that is set in a present-day idyllic kingdom where the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. The cast also includes Booboo Stewart (Twilight franchise), Cameron Boyce (Jessie) and newcomers Sofia Carson and Mitchell Hope. (The Deadline Team)

BOX OFFICE MOVIE NEWS

Actor Scott Eastwood (son of Clint Eastwood) has landed the lead role in the upcoming Nicholas Sparks film The Longest Ride, based on the author’s 2013 novel, which centers on an elderly man who, stranded after a car crash, recounts his younger years with the love of his life. In a nearby town at a local bull-riding event, a college senior meets a young cowboy, and the two begin to fall for each other, drastically changing their lives forever. The romantic drama follows the two couples, who have little in common, as their lives converge. Eastwood will play the young cowboy Luke. (Rebecca Ford at The Hollywood Reporter)

Actor Matt Smith (Doctor Who) has joined the cast of the upcoming reboot to the Terminator franchise. He will play a major role that will grow in the second and third films, but little else is known about his role or the film for that matter. (Mike Fleming, Jr. at Deadline)

24 Live Another Day

The two-hour premiere of 24: Live Another Day will air on FOX on May 5 at 8 PM.

Four years after dishing out his own brand of justice and evading capture, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) finds himself on the run in London; once again, he attempts to thwart a global disaster. Meanwhile, Jack’s closest confidante Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) has been aiding and abetting the federal fugitive.

Reprising their roles from the long-running series are Kim Raver as Audrey Raines and William Devane as her father James Heller, who is now the President of the United States.

The cast will include Michael Wincott (The Crow, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and The Three Musketeers), Gbenga Akinnagbe (Graceland and Nurse Jackie), Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter and Chuck), Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order and The Cleaner) and Tate Donovan (The O.C. and Damages).

This will actually be a 12-episode special event on the network.

NOTE: The series will move to its regular timeslot of 9 PM on May 12 and there will be encores of every episode on Friday nights at 8 PM, starting May 9.
