Hey All,
Here are the news items for today:
TELEVISION
Actress Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead) has landed a role in an episode of Major Crimes that will focus on the Special Operations Bureau (SOB). Holden will play Ann McGinnis, the second in command of the LAPD’s “SOB” unit, a former Air Force Officer, who has moved rapidly up the LAPD chain-of-command due to her intense focus on mission-oriented leadership. This episode also marks the return of Jon Tenney as FBI Agent Fritz Howard, who will figure largely in the introduction of the “SOB” — and possibly setting up what has been described as a potential spin-off of The Closer’s own spin-off. Boom! Studios will launch a four-issue Sleepy Hollow comic book series, based on the TV series, in October. The stories will take place across different parts of the show’s timeline. The series itself will be back for its second season on FOX starting on September 22. (Graeme McMillian at The Hollywood Reporter)
