Here is the short list of the programming options to expect on TV this week:
The Sundance TV original 8-part mini-series The Honorable Woman will debut on July 31 at 10 PM. The film follows Nessa Stein (Maggie Gyllenhaal), whose father was a Zionist arms procurer; as children, she and her brother witness his assassination. Years later, after inheriting her father’s company, she dramatically inverts its purpose from supplying arms to laying high-spec data cabling networks between Israel and the West Bank. Now in her thirties, her sudden appointment to the House of Lords, apparently due to her tireless promotion of projects for reconciliation between the Israelis and Palestinians, creates an international political maelstrom. The cast includes Janet McTeer (Damages).
On August 1, the final season of The Killing will premiere on Netflix (all 6 episodes).
And, the new season of Hell on Wheels will return to AMC on August 2 at 9 PM.
NOTE: The first 10 episodes (of this 13-episode season) will air through October 4. The final three episodes will air starting on November 8.
Mark your calendars!
