Summer is nearly at an end (how can that be?) and it’s time to look back at the cable ratings for all of July for the dramas, made-for-TV movies and mini-series that aired during the month.
Those ratings are all listed below:
CABLE DRAMAS
MONDAYS:
Hit the Floor – The VH1 original series aired four more new episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
July 7 – 2.5 million
July 14 – 2.1 million
July 21 – 2.4 million
July 28 – 2 million
This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for July. The final two episodes of Hit the Floor aired on VH1 on August 4 and 11. The ratings for those two episodes will be featured in the August report.
Longmire – The A&E drama aired four more new episodes of its third season during July as well as the season finale, which aired on August 4. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
July 7 – 3.4 million
July 14 – 3.6 million
July 21 – 3.3 million
July 28 – 3.4 million
August 4 – 3.7 million (Season Finale)
This averages out to 3.5 million viewers for the above time frame. A fourth season of Longmire has yet to be officially announced by A&E.
Major Crimes – The TNT crime drama aired four more new episodes of its third season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
July 7 – 4.9 million
July 14 – 5.3 million
July 21 – 5.6 million
July 28 – 5.8 million
This averages out to 5.4 million viewers for July. The final two summer episodes of Major Crimes aired on TNT on August 4 and 11. The ratings for those two episodes will be featured in the August report.
Murder in the First – The new TNT drama aired four more news episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
July 7 – 2.6 million
July 14 – 2.7 million
July 21 – 2.5 million
July 28 – 2.7 million
This average out to 2.6 million viewers for July. The final two episodes of Murder in the First aired on TNT on August 4 and 11. The ratings for those two episodes will be featured in the August report.
Switched at Birth – Four new episodes of the third season of the ABC Family drama aired during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for July. New episodes of Switched at Birth aired on ABC Family on August 4 and August 11 with the summer finale set to air on Monday, August 18 at 8 PM. The network also just announced Switched at Birth will be back for a fourth season.
The Fosters – The ABC Family drama aired four more new episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Suits – The USA Network legal drama aired four new episodes of its fourth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

The new Syfy drama The Almighty Johnsons debuted on July 11, airing three episodes during the month. Ratings for the debut episode were 1 million, but ratings for the other two episodes could not be tracked down. New episodes of the series aired on Syfy on August 1 and August 8 with the next new episode set to air on Friday, August 15 at 10 PM.
SATURDAYS:
Power – The new Starz drama aired the final four episodes of its debut season throughout July and on August 2. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
July 5 – No episode aired
July 12 – 528,000 viewers
July 19 – 745,000 viewers
July 26 – 754,000 viewers
August 2 – 1.1 million
This averages out to 676,000 viewers for July. Power was renewed for a second season by Starz and will air sometime in 2015.
Cedar Cove returned to the Hallmark Channel for its second season on July 19, airing two episodes during the month; but ratings for those two episodes could not be tracked down. New episodes of Cedar Cove aired on the Hallmark Channel on August 2 and August 9 with the next new episode set to air on August 16 at 8 PM.
SUNDAYS:
Devious Maids – The Lifetime soap opera aired its final two episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for July. Devious Maids has yet to be renewed for a third season by Lifetime.
Salem – The WGN America thriller aired its final two episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Halt & Catch Fire – The new 1980’s themed AMC drama aired its final episodes of its debut season throughout July with its final airing on August 3. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
