Hey All,
Here are the news items for today:
TELEVISION
Actress Rebecca Mader (Lost and Once Upon a Time) will guest-star in an upcoming episode of Blue Bloods, playing Tori, a sexy and brilliant attorney who is Erin’s (series regular Bridget Moynahan) old law school classmate and her most bitter rival. (Natalie Abrams at Entertainment Weekly)
NBC has given a 10-episode order to the anthology drama series Manhunt that will deal with the mounting tension of an entire city on the hunt for a fugitive roaming the streets. Each season (should it be renewed) would examine the moment an American or international city becomes a police state or a war zone, and the violent consequences that ensue. Q&A SECTION (with Natalie Abrams at Entertainment Weekly)
Question: I need some Scandal scoop please! — Carrie
Natalie: With Olivia out of Washington, Fitz has one very important mission in mind. Sorry, it’s not trying to find his lost love. As he begins his second term in office, Fitz has decided to take his administration in a new direction, using his power as POTUS for good in order to make a positive impact on the nation.
Question: Will Henry be there for Regina after what happened in the season finale on Once Upon a Time? Any story coming up for them in season 4? — Tales11
Natalie: Henry may be the one thing that actually keeps Regina from slipping to the dark side again after Robin Hood’s long-dead wife, Marian, resurfaced in the present. “We’re going to see Henry on a mission with Regina this year,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “And maybe some of his light side will rub off on her.”
Question: I need scoop on NCIS: LA. — Moni
Natalie: Lest we think Hetty is off the hook, she’ll be called to Washington D.C. to face an investigation into her use of funds and tactics in saving Kensi. I can exclusively reveal that John Heard (Home Alone and Prison Break) will portray Special Congressional Investigator Michael Thomas, who will be heading up the inquisition.
Question: Any little tidbit on The Blacklist? — Arpi
Natalie: I hear that David Fonteno (The Good Wife’s honorable Judge Robert Parks) and David Costabile (Low Winter Sun, Suits) will both guest-star in an early season 2 episode. Fonteno will play Senator Sheridan, a southern gentleman and longtime friend of Agent Cooper who runs the black-budget for the U.S. government. Costabile, meanwhile, is a blacklister named Dr. Linus Creel, a psychiatrist with a clinical curiosity who works at various psych wards and clinics around D.C.
Question: Will season 3 bring on some more moments for the original trio (Diggle, Oliver & Felicity) of Arrow? — Tony
Natalie: Actually, that will become somewhat of a sore spot for Diggle this season as Oliver wants to keep him out of the field now that he’s going to be a daddy. “What’s Diggle’s identity?” executive producer Marc Guggenheim says. “Is he his own man, is he just Oliver’s sidekick, is he a father, is he a husband? He used to be a solider, now he’s a part of Oliver’s crusade. Is he going to end up at A.R.G.U.S.? He’s got some very hard choices to make.” Speaking of A.R.G.U.S., I hear there will be some new faces joining the Suicide Squad this season.
Question: Got any casting news or episode info for all the Castle fans out there? Thanks. — Sandra
Natalie: 24 alum Jeffrey Nordling will guest-star in an upcoming episode as a real estate developer building a luxury mall along the Hudson River. Surely he’ll end up on Beckett’s radar.
That’s it. Enjoy!
