TELEVISION

Actress Rebecca Wisocky (Devious Maids) will appear in an upcoming episode of Once Upon a Time as Madam Faustina, a charlatan who, in flashbacks, pretends to commune with spirits in order to swindle her customers by telling them made-up fortunes. (Matt Mitovich at TV Line)

Actor Dean Stockwell will join his former Quantum Leap co-star Scott Bakula in the latter’s new CBS procedural drama NCIS: New Orleans. Stockwell will play Tom Hamilton, a proud and spirited retired New Orleans cop who still has his wits about him. When confronted by investigators about a murder 40 years ago, he arrogantly pushes back using his knowledge and experience. (Natalie Abrams at Entertainment Weekly)

DEVELOPMENT NEWS

David Goyer is working on another genre project for NBC (he is behind the upcoming Constantine). That new project is Shadowland, which is based on the 1980 dark fantasy novel by Peter Straub. The project centers on two young boys, Tom Flanagan and Del Nightingale, who spend a summer with Del’s uncle Coleman, one of the foremost magicians in the world, who may actually be a sorcerer.
