A Wish Come True

On January 31, the Hallmark Channel movie A Wish Come True will debut at 8 PM.

Lindsay Corwin (Megan Park from The Lottery and The Secret Life of the American Teenager) is a long-time believer in birthday wishes and she has wished for everything over the years from a puppy to a promotion. As she approaches her 30th birthday, Lindsay laments to her best friend Dave (Benjamin Hollingsworth from Cult and The Tomorrow People) that not one of them has ever come true and her life is nothing like she envisioned. Still just an assistant at her green product firm, and reeling from her latest dating disaster, Lindsay is ready to give up on her long wish list. But when Dave throws her a surprise 30th birthday party, Lindsay resolves to blow out her candles and make one final wish: for all of her wishes to come true. Within days, Lindsay’s 30 years of wishes start to become a reality. Her divorced parents reconcile, she loses weight, is promoted at work, wins a brand new house and even gets a special kiss from her favorite TV star (veteran actor Dean Cain).

Then, Lindsay meets Reed (Anthony Lemke from Lost Girl), a passionate environmental tycoon who could fulfill her best wish of all: finding Mr. Right. As Lindsay and Reed begin a whirlwind romance too good to be true, Dave longs to tell her about his own deepening feelings for her. But soon, Lindsay’s new dream life starts to fall apart and threatens to compromise her character, her friendships and her potential for true, lasting love.

Here is a trailer for A Wish Come True.

Here are the news items for today:

TELEVISION

British actress-model Millie Brady (the upcoming Pride And Prejudice And Zombies) has been cast in the lead role in the Lifetime drama pilot The Clan Of The Cave Bear based on the Jean M. Auel book of the same name. The story takes place at a time in prehistory more than 25,000 years ago when Neanderthals shared the planet with the first early modern humans. A band of cave dwellers adopts blond and blue-eyed Ayla (Brady), a child of the “Others.” As Ayla matures into a young woman of spirit and courage, she must fight for survival against the jealous bigotry of Broud, who one day will be clan leader. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

Actor Colm Feore (The Borgias) will appear on Gotham, playing Dr. Francis Dulmacher (aka The Dollmaker), the figure behind the mass kidnappings of Gotham’s street children. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

Broadway star Kyle Dean Massey (Pippin) will play Kevin Bicks, an openly gay country artist, on Nashville. Kevin is a successful country artist who happens to like guys and his very existence deflates Will’s (series regular Chris Carmack) theory that the genre will never accept a gay superstar. (Kimberly Roots at TV Line and Deadline)
