The six-part PBS mini-series Wolf Hall will debut on April 5 at 10 PM.
Mark Rylance (Twelfth Night) and Damian Lewis (Homeland) will star as Thomas Cromwell and Henry VIII (respectively) in this adaptation of the Hilary Mantel prize-winning novels, which charts the shrewd and brilliant rise of Cromwell in the Tudor court from a blacksmith’s son to Henry VIII’s closest advisor.
The cast includes Claire Foy (Crossbones), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Game of Thrones), Joanne Whalley (The Borgias), Bernard Hill (The Lord of the Rings franchise), Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife), Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey), Mark Gatiss (Sherlock), Charity Wakefield (Sense and Sensibility) and veteran actor Jonathan Pryce.
