There are only a few more nights of finales before the 2014-2015 TV season comes to a close. Last night’s programming on the major networks was extremely light because of that.
Here is how the two Tuesday night shows that aired either a finale or a new episode fared in the overall ratings:

With the official ending of the 2014-2015 TV season nearly here (only about a week to go for the rest of the finales to roll out), last night’s programming was filled with new episodes of a few late comers to the season.
Here is how those Sunday night dramas fared in the overall ratings:
9 PM Shows: Battle Creek (CBS) [NEW] – 5.1 million A.D. The Bible Continues (NBC) [NEW] – 4.9 million
10 PM Shows: Battle Creek (CBS) [NEW – Penultimate Episode] – 5.3 million American Odyssey (NBC) [NEW] – 2.7 million

Actress-singer Vanessa Williams will guest star in an upcoming episode of the long-running USA Network series Royal Pains, playing Olympia Houston, a generous benefactor at the Hamptons Heritage Center for Rare and Orphan Diseases. Royal Pains will be back with new episodes starting on June 2. (Kate Stanhope at The Hollywood Reporter)
The USA Network is also moving forward with an American adaptation of the telenovela La Reina Del Sur, which will be known as Queen of the South. The series will debut in 2016, centering on Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga). When her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico, Teresa is forced to seek refuge in America, where she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run. In the process, she learns the tools of the trade and strategically positions herself to become the leader of the cartel. (Lesley Goldberg at The Hollywood Reporter)
ABC Family has added to the cast of the upcoming small screen adaptation of Mortal Instruments to be known as Shadowhunters. Actors Alan Van Sprang (Reign) and Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) will appear as villain Valentine and Magnus Bane respectively. Shadowhunters will follow Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara from Happyland and The Fosters), a teenager who learns that she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters, (or human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons). Actress Kathy Najimy has joined the cast of Unforgettable that has been picked up by A&E after its cancellation by CBS. The show revolves around a female detective (Poppy Montgomery) who remembers everything except the day her sister was murdered. Najimy will play Rachel, a whip-smart, unflappable former street cop who is tough when she needs to be, but has the political chops/ambition to get her the gig as head of the Major Cases Department of the NYPD. Lifetime is moving forward with more adaptation of V.C. Andrews’ books. The network has given a greenlight to a movie based on the 1982 novel My Sweet Audrina that centers on Audrina, a young girl with an inability to recall past events in her life. Living in her family’s secluded mansion, Audrina is kept alone and out of sight and is haunted by nightmares of her older sister, the First Audrina, who was left for dead in the woods after an attack. Everyone in her family knows the secret surrounding First Audrina’s death except Audrina herself. As she begins to question her past and her disturbing dreams, the grim truth is slowly revealed. Actress India Eisley (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) will play the lead role while James Tupper (Revenge) will play her father Damian and William Moseley (The Royals) will portray Audrina’s love interest, Arden. Here is a list of all of the programming options to expect on TV this week, specifically all of the season finales that will be airing:
The season finales of Stalker and NCIS: Los Angeles will both air on May 18 at 9 and 10 PM respectively on CBS; The Following will also air its season finale on FOX at 8 PM that same night and the second part of the two-part season finale of The Night Shift will air on NBC at 10 PM that night too.
On May 19, The Flash will air its season finale on The CW at 8 PM.
The season finales of The Mysteries of Laura, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago P.D. will all air on NBC on May 20 at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively while The CW will air the season finale of Supernatural at 9 PM.
On May 21, the Canadian thriller Between will air on Netflix (six one-hour episodes, one episode every week). This survivalist thriller tells the story of a town under siege from a mysterious disease that has wiped out everybody except those 21-years-old and under, chronicling the power vacuum that results when a government has quarantined a 10-mile diameter area and left the inhabitants to fend for themselves.
And, on May 24, Battle Creek will air its season finale on CBS at 10 PM and the season finale of The Lizzie Borden Chronicles will air on Lifetime at 10 PM.
