A Walk in the Woods

After spending two decades in Britain, celebrated travel humorist Bill Bryson (Robert Redford) returns to his native United States. In an effort to reconnect with his country, he decides to hike the 2,200 stunning miles of the Appalachian Trail. But while he had envisioned it as a trek of relaxation and tranquility, it becomes something entirely different when his philandering, former friend Stephen Katz (Nick Nolte) joins him on the trip. The cast includes Kristen Schaal, Nick Offerman, Mary Steenburgen and Emma Thompson.
Before We Go
Opens: September 4
While a young woman in New York City races to catch the 1:30 train to Boston, her purse gets stolen. Lost and frantic while walking through Grand Central just before closing time, a young musician avoiding his own life choices takes note of her desperation and offers his help. What starts out as an awkward adventure to get her back to Boston, ends as a night that leaves them both with an indelible impression of the lies we often tell ourselves to avoid deeper truths, and the humanity that can surprise us in the unlikeliest of places. Chris Evans stars (and directs for the first time) with Alice Eve as part of the cast.
The Transporter Refueled

A femme fatale and her cohorts kidnap Frank Martin’s (Ed Skrein from Game of Thrones) father to coerce Frank into helping them break up a ring of human traffickers from the Russian Federation.
Time Out of Mind
Opens: September 9
Evicted from his squat and suddenly alone on the streets, George (Richard Gere) is a man without a home. Struggling with his demons and desperately trying to connect with the daughter he abandoned, he navigates the system, hustling for change and somewhere safe and quiet to gather his thoughts. But the streets are relentless and soon, George finds himself teetering on the edge, alone and abandoned. The film also stars Jena Malone, Kyra Sedgwick, Steve Buscemi and Ben Vereen.
The Perfect Guy

Leah Vaughn (Sanaa Lathan) appears to have the ideal life. She enjoys a challenging, fast-paced career as a lobbyist, and Dave (Morris Chestnut, her long-term boyfriend, loves her. And yet at 36 years old, she’s ready to move on to the next phase. Marriage and a family seem like a logical and welcome step. However, Dave is not so sure. A bit of a commitment phobic, his misgivings lead to a painful break-up. Enter Carter Duncan (Michael Ealy), a handsome, charming stranger whose path keeps crossing with Leah’s. Caring and solicitous of Leah and her family and friends, their relationship rapidly progresses. It seems like Leah has met the perfect guy. But it seems too good to be true. Soon his protective nature morphs into something much more sinister. It’s clear that Leah has to end this new relationship and when she does, her onetime lover becomes her ultimate enemy. It will take every bit of her cunning and resolve to escape and outwit him. The cast also includes Tess Harper, Charles S. Dutton, Kathryn Morris, Rutina Wesley, Holt McCallany and Shannon Lucio.
Black Mass

The film depicts the true story of Whitey Bulger (Johnny Depp), the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston. Following a string of too many of his violent actions, he becomes an FBI informant for 30 years in order to take down a Mafia family invading his turf. It starts around the late 1970s and early 1980s when Bulger was just beginning this operation, around the time when he was becoming the crime boss of Irish Winter Hill Gang. The film also stars Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Jesse Plemons, Peter Sarsgaard, Corey Stoll, Sienna Miller, Juno Temple, Rory Cochrane and W. Earl Brown.
Everest
Opens: September 18
A story based on the real events of 1996 Mount Everest disaster which led to the deaths of several climbers. It is based on the real events of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster. It will focus on the summit and survival attempts of two expedition groups, the one led by Scott Fischer (Jake Gyllenhaal), and the one led by Rob Hall (Jason Clarke). The film also stars Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington, Robin Wright, Keira Knightley, Emily Watson, Martin Henderson and Clive Standen.
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
Opens: September 18
In this next chapter of the “Maze Runner” saga, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all. The cast includes Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee, Kaya Scodelario, Giancarlo Esposito, Lili Taylor, Patricia Clarkson, Barry Pepper and Katherine McNamara.
Pawn Sacrifice
Opens: September 18
In this true story set during the rise of the Cold War, American chess professional Bobby Fischer (Tobey Maguire) finds himself caught between two superpowers when he challenges the Soviet Empire and its greatest player of all. The film also stars Live Schreiber, Lily Rabe, Peter Sarsgaard, Sophie Nelisse, Evelyne Brochu and Robin Weigert.
Sicario
Opens: September 18
In Latin America, the word “Sicario” stands for hitman or hired killer. At the border stretching between the United States and Mexico itself, idealistic FBI agent Kate Macy (Emily Blunt) is enlisted by an elite government task force official to aid in the escalating war against drugs by tracking down an anonymous drug lord. Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past, the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing her to question everything that she believes in order to survive. The cast includes Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey Donovan.
Hotel Transylvania 2
Opens: September 25
In this animated sequel, Hotel Transylvania has gone through several changes since Jonathan (Andy Samberg) first stumbled onto it. The hotel is now open to human guests. Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Johnny have a baby boy named Dennis, whose lack of any vampire abilities worries his grandfather Count Dracula (Adam Sandler). When Mavis and Johnny go on a visit to Johnny’s parents Mike and Linda (Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally), Dracula calls his friends Frank (Kevin James), Murray (Keegan-Michael Key), Wayne (Steve Buscemi), Griffin (David Spade) and Blobbie, to help him put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. Meanwhile, Dracula’s father, Vlad, arrives at the hotel and to his dissatisfaction finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure-blood vampire and that Hotel Transylvania now accepts humans. Other voice actors include Mel Brooks, Fran Drescher and Molly Shannon.
Mississippi Grind
Opens: September 25
A gambler (Ben Mendelsohn) on a losing streak teams up with a younger gambler (Ryan Reynolds), hoping to change his luck. The cast includes Sienna Miller, Alfre Woodard and Robin Weigert.
The Intern
Opens: September 25
Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway), the founder and CEO of a fashion based e-commerce company, agrees to a community outreach program where a senior, Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro), will intern at the firm. The cast includes Rene Russo, Adam DeVine, Reid Scott, Andrew Rannells and Linda Lavin.
The Keeping Room
Opens: September 25
Left without men in the dying days of the American Civil War, three Southern women—two sisters and one African-American slave—must fight to defend their home and themselves from two rogue soldiers who have broken off from the fast-approaching Union Army. The film stars Brit Marling, Hailee Steinfeld and Sam Worthington.
Stonewall
Opens: September 25
The plot revolves around the 1969 Stonewall Riots, the violent clash that kicked off the gay rights movement in New York City. The film centers on Danny Winters (Jeremy Irvine), who flees to New York, leaving behind his sister. As he finds his way to the Stonewall Inn, he meets Trevor (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) before catching the eye of Ed Murphy (Ron Perlman), manager of the Stonewall Inn. The cast also includes Joey King, Caleb Landry Jones and Matt Craven.
The Walk
Opens: September 30
In this retelling of a 1974 stunt involving the World Trade Center, Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as French street performer Phillippe Petit, who achieved global fame by stringing a tightrope across the corners of the two towers and walking across it 1,350 feet in the air. The cast includes Ben Kingsley and Charlotte Le Bon.
