On March 9, the new WGN America series Underground will debut at 10 PM.

The period piece drama tells the story of revolutionaries of the Underground Railroad who use their ingenuity, power and perseverance to attempt the greatest escape in history despite the dire consequences that awaited them on the other side.

The large cast includes Aldis Hodge (Leverage and Turn), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Friday Night Lights and True Blood), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Alano Miller (Jane the Virgin), Jessica De Gouw (Arrow and Dracula), Amirah Vann (Tracers and Girls), Marc Blucas (Necessary Roughness), Mykelti Williamson (Justified), Adina Porter (The 100), Theodus Crane (Christmas in Conway), Renwick Scott (Treme), Johnny Ray Gill (Rectify), Reed Diamond (Wayward Pines) and James Lafferty (One Tree Hill).
