The Game of Love

The new UP Channel movie The Game of Love will debut on May 15 at 7 PM.

Jake Cornell (Lochlyn Munro), third-generation owner of the Seattle Cougars basketball team, has devoted his entire life to his work, though he is still very attracted to his charming, smart, and unavailable ex-wife Frankie (Heather Locklear). Frankie has a weakness though – an undeniable attraction and connection to the infuriating man she’s divorced, not once, but twice.

Now that they are no longer together, Jake and Frankie, along with their two adult children Barton (Tom Stevens) and Alexandria (Emily Tennant), disagree on the future of the team. Jake’s about to lose the one thing he loves the most – the Seattle Cougars – to the other love of his life, Frankie. Sparks fly as Frankie takes over the front office. Will the team that drove them apart actually end up being the thing that brings them together for good?

A Time to Dance

On May 15, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie Karen Kingsbury’s A Time to Dance will air at 9 PM.

The film tells the story of Abby (Jennie Garth) and John (Dan Payne) Reynolds, a married couple who have been together since their days as high school sweethearts – when John was a football hero and Abby dreamed of becoming a writer. Now in their forties, Abby is a restaurant critic for a local newspaper and John is a football coach at their son’s high school.

Though their seemingly perfect marriage is the envy of their peers, the truth is that they have fallen out of love, and plan to announce their impending divorce during their daughter Nicole’s upcoming college break. But John and Abby’s plan takes a turn when an elated Nicole surprises them with an announcement that she has gotten engaged. Not wanting to put a damper on Nicole’s cherished event, John and Abby agree to wait until after her wedding to tell her about their divorce. With the clock ticking and John and Abby helping Nicole prepare for her wedding day, they may have one last chance to again find their love.

Corbin Bernsen also stars as Abby’s father.

Tulips in Spring

The new Hallmark Channel movie Tulips in Spring will debut on May 14 at 9 PM.

At Payden Farms, Rose (Fiona Gubelmann from Wilfred) meets Tom Novak (Lucas Bryant from Haven) — a handsome “flower broker” who acts as a liaison between the farm and local distributors — and discovers that the farm is faltering financially and that her parents are considering selling it to a ruthless competitor.

As a last-ditch effort, Tom arranges for Frank to enter his most special tulip in an upcoming flower contest with the hopes of achieving national recognition and generating business. But when Frank’s flowers are mysteriously sabotaged, Rose struggles to find a way to get them to bloom in time for the competition.

Along the way, she finds herself appreciating her humble beginnings, reconciling with Frank, and falling into a blossoming romance with Tom. With time running out, Rose must rediscover her green thumb to save her family’s farm, and decide whether she’ll find true happiness — and true love — by staying in Los Angeles or returning to her folksy hometown.
