Summer TV is in full swing with lots and lots of one-hour dramas, made-for-TV movies, limited series and mini-series to watch all over the TV landscape. Here is how all of those viewing options performed in June:
CABLE DRAMAS
MONDAYS:
Hunters – The new alien-themed thriller aired four more new episodes of its debut season on Syfy during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 6 – 245,000 viewers
June 13 – 288,000 viewers
June 20 – 273,000 viewers
June 27 – 208,000 viewers
This averages out to 254,000 for June. The season finale of Hunters will air on Syfy on Monday, July 11 at 12 Midnight.
12 Monkeys – The time-travel apocalyptic-themed series aired four more new episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 6 – 425,000 viewers
June 13 – 349,000 viewers
June 20 – 389,000 viewers
June 27 – 398,000 viewers
This averages out to 390,000 viewers for June. The penultimate episode of 12 Monkeys will air on Syfy on Monday, July 11 at 9 PM.
Turn: Washington’s Spies – The AMC period piece drama aired the final four episodes of its third season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 6 – 599,000 viewers
June 13 – 572,000 viewers
June 20 – 614,000 viewers
June 27 – 665,000 viewers (Finale)
This averages out to 613,000 viewers for June. AMC has yet to renew Turn: Washington’s Spies for a new season.
Scream: The TV Series – The MTV series, based on the franchise film of the same name, aired four new episodes of its second season during the month; the first three on Monday nights before shifting to its new night and time. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 6 – 496,000 viewers
June 13 – 348,000 viewers
June 20 – 271,000 viewers
June 28 – 446,000 viewers (New Night and Time)
This averages out to 390,000 viewers for June. The next new episode of Scream: The TV Series will air on MTV on Tuesday, July 5 at 10 PM.
Devious Maids – The fourth season of the Lifetime dramedy returned on June 6, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

WEDNESDAYS:
The Americans – The Russian spy drama aired the final two episodes of its fourth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 1 – 929,000 viewers
June 8 – 768,000 viewers (Season Finale)
This averages out to 849,000 viewers for June. The Americans was renewed for two more seasons – its fifth and sixth – which will be the show’s final season. An official airdate has yet to be announced by FX for the start of its fifth season.
Royal Pains – The 8th and final season of the USA Network series aired five more episodes, including not only its 100th episode but also its musical penultimate episode during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 1 – 1.3 million
June 8 – 1.2 million (100th Episode)
June 15 – 1.4 million
June 22 – 1.4 million
June 29 – 1.3 million (Musical/Penultimate Episode)
This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for May. The series finale of Royal Pains will air on USA Network on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 PM.
Cleverman – This Australian series debuted on SundanceTV on June 1, airing five episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Greenleaf – The new original 13-episode drama from OWN about a Memphis megachurch had a two-night debut on June 21 and June 22, moving to its regular night on Wednesdays the following week. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 22 – 2 million (DEBUT – Night Two)
June 28 – 1.9 million
This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for June. The next new episode of Greenleaf will air on OWN on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 PM.
Kingdom – The second season of the DirecTV series premiered on June 1, airing five episodes during the month. Unfortunately, ratings for those episodes could not be tracked down.
THURSDAYS:
Orphan Black – The BBC America series aired the final three episodes of its fourth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
June 2 – 245,000 viewers
June 9 – 291,000 viewers
June 16 – 325,000 viewers (Season Finale)
This averages out to 287,000 viewers for June. Orphan Black has been renewed for its fifth and final season by BBC America, but an official airdate has yet to be announced.
Queen of the South – The gritty new USA Network series debuted on June 23, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 30 – 1.4 million

Good Witch – The family friendly Hallmark Channel series aired final three episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 2.2 million viewers for June. Good Witch has been given a third season order by the Hallmark Channel, but an official airdate has yet to be announced.
Game of Thrones – The epic HBO drama aired the final four episodes of its sixth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 12 – 7.6 million
June 19 – 7.7 million

This averages out to 8 million viewers for June. Game of Thrones has been renewed for another season by HBO, but an official airdate will be announced at a later time.
Penny Dreadful – The Showtime thriller aired the final three episodes of its third and final season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 12 – 651,000 viewers
June 19 – 551,000 viewers (Series Finale)
This averages out to 641,000 viewers for June. Penny Dreadful was cancelled by Showtime.

The Last Ship – The third season premiere of the post-apocalyptic TNT drama was delayed for one week (due to storyline content hitting a little too close to fact), airing two-hours on June 19 and a new episode on June 26. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Murder in the First – Because of the postponement of The Last Ship, the TNT police procedural was also delayed, airing its third season premiere on June 26, earning 1.4 million viewers. Roadies – The new Showtime drama from Cameron Crowe about the lives of backstage workers [aka Roadies] debuted on June 26, earning 348,000 viewers. A new episode of Roadies aired on June 3 with the next new episode set to air on Showtime on Sunday, July 10 at 10 PM.
