Here is a short list of the programming options to expect on TV this week:
On August 23, the AMC 1980’s-themed series Halt and Catch Fire returns with a two-hour premiere at 9 PM. The show will then move to 10 PM next week.
The made-for-TV movie Song of Summer will debut on Hallmark Channel on August 27 at 9 PM. Fading pop star Debbie Taylor is on the verge of losing everything – including her freedom – when she runs away to suburban Ohio where she finds her way into teaching music to a talented group of misfit kids. As she lays low and taps into the kids’ talents in an attempt to become relevant again, she begins to realize that fame isn’t everything. The film stars 80’s pop star-turned-actress Debbie Gibson, Pascale Hutton (When Calls the Heart) and Robert Gant (Queer As Folk).
And on August 28, The Strain will air its season premiere on FX at 10 PM.
Mark your calendars!
