On October 26, the fourth and final season of Rectify will premiere on SundanceTV at 10 PM.
The new CBS medical drama Pure Genius will debut on October 27 at 10 PM. James Bell (Augustus Prew from Klondike and The Borgias) is a Silicon Valley billionaire who dreams of building a hospital with ultimate cutting-edge technology to treat rare and incurable diseases. He partners with a maverick surgeon, Dr. Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney from My Best Friend’s Wedding), who leads the effort in clearing out the bureaucracy of medicine, and focus on forward thinking, advancing technology, and saving lives—at no cost to the patient.
On October 27, the new BBC America limited series The Living and the Dead will debut at 9 PM. The six-part series stars Colin Morgan (Humans and Merlin) and Charlotte Spencer (Line of Duty) as Nathan and Charlotte Appleby, a couple hell-bent on bringing modern ideas to an ancient rural community. When Nathan, a pioneering Victorian psychologist, brings his vivacious young wife back to live on his family’s estate, he’s confronted by one disturbing case after another.
Good Girls Revolt is the latest streaming series to debut on Amazon on October 28. In 1969, while a cultural revolution with a soundtrack to match swept through the free world, there was still one place that refused to change with the times: newsrooms. The series follows a group of young female researchers, Jane Hollander (Anna Camp from Pitch Perfect and True Blood), Patti Robinson (Genevieve Angelson from Backstrom) and Cindy Reston (Erin Darke from Kill Your Darlings), at “News of the Week,” who simply ask to be treated fairly. Their revolutionary request, led by lawyer Eleanor Holmes Norton (Joy Bryant from Parenthood) will spark convulsive changes and upend marriages, careers, sex lives, love lives, and friendships.
On October 29, Amish Witches: The True Story of Holmes County is the latest Lifetime movie to debut at 8 PM. When a reality TV crew comes to Holmes County, Ohio to document the lives of an isolated sect of Amish, production is halted by the death of an Amish witch. Following her funeral, a small group of young women solicit the TV crew’s help to document the inexplicable events plaguing them. But as everyone soon discovers, the powerful malevolent force haunting them, has deadly intentions.
The new Hallmark Channel movie A Wish for Christmas will debut on October 29 at 9 PM. Sara Shaw (Lacey Chabert) is the type of woman who prefers to sit on the sidelines at work, but when her big idea for a Christmas initiative is stolen, she makes a wish to Santa that she’ll finally have the courage to stand up for herself. When Santa grants her wish and she gets a chance to make prove herself to her boss (Paul Greene) but Santa’s wish only gives her 48 hours. As the clock ticks down, Sara will discover how to channel the Christmas magic and speak her mind all on her own.
