Here is a list of programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
Gotham and Lucifer will be back with new episodes on FOX on January 16 at 8 and 9 PM respectively with the wwinter premiere of Timeless also airing that same night on NBC at 10 PM.
On January 17, the season (potentially the series) finale of No Tomorrow will air on The CW at 9 PM.
The new History Channel series Six will debut on January 18 at 10 PM. The eight episode series follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six, modern American warriors, whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists.
The 6-episode streaming series Frontier will debut online on January 20 at Netflix. This is an action-packed adventure drama that follows the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade in the late 18th century.
On January 21, the small screen adaptation of the box office film Beaches will air on Lifetime at 8 PM. This version of the film follows the serendipitous meeting of two young girls on the Venice Boardwalk, who, though worlds apart in lifestyle, embark on unexpected and lifelong friendship. CC (Broadway star Idina Menzel) is an aspiring singer trying to make it in Los Angeles until she is discovered by a director who gives her her first big shot. Hillary (Nia Long from House of Lies) is the daughter of a prominent civil rights lawyer who struggles to find her own destiny. Their friendship – even with its ups and downs – sustains them for decades.
Also on January 21, he new Hallmark Channel movie The Birthday Wish will debut at 9 PM. With her thirtieth birthday approaching, Gwen Turner (Jessy Schram from Falling Skies), a young TV commercial director who plans every detail of her life, hopes her boyfriend, Alex Stone, will finally propose and fulfill her goal of being engaged by the time she’s thirty. Gwen meets Dave McKinley (Luke Macfarlane from Killjoys), a charming commercial director with a spontaneous approach to life, when an upscale ad agency pairs them to work together.
The season finale of The Librarians will air on TNT on January 22 at 8 PM while the second season premiere of Mercy Street will debut that same night at 8 PM on PBS.
