Actor JD Pardo (Revolution) has landed the lead role in the Sons of Anarchy spin-off series Mayans MC that centers on EZ Reyes (Pardo), a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California/Mexico border who struggles with his desire for vengeance against the cartel as well as his need for respect from the women he loves. Actress Keke Palmer (Scream Queens) has joined the cast of the second season of Berlin Station, which centers on a CIA office in the midst of an investigation into a now-infamous whistleblower. Palmer will play April Lewis, the newest and youngest case officer assigned to Berlin Station on her first field assignment after making her mark as an analyst at Langley. (The Hollywood Reporter)
Actor Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) has landed a lead role in Marvel’s Inhumans that will air on ABC. The series will tell the story of a race of super-powered beings, focusing on Black Bolt, the leader of the Inhumans, and his family. Rheon will play Maximus the Mad, Black Bolt’s younger brother, who is intelligent, charming and articulate. He comes across as man of the people but secretly covets power. (Variety)
Actor Devon Sawa (Nikita) and JR Bourne (Teen Wolf) have joined the cast of the ABC summer series Somewhere Between that will star Paula Patton Warcraft) as Laura Price. She’s not crazy, but she knows that her daughter Serena is going to be murdered. She doesn’t know who the murderer is, or why she’s killed, but she knows exactly when it will happen, where and how. Sawa will play Nico Jackson, a former cop turned private investigator. Bourne will play Tom Price, Laura’s powerful yet sensitive husband who is also the state’s district attorney. Actress Eden Brolin has been promoted to series regular on the new Freeform series Beyond that was renewed for a second season. (The Futon Critic)
Actor Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace) will appear in the last four episodes of the current, fourth season of The Blacklist, playing Julian Gale, an FBI investigator and former colleague of Ressler (series regular Diego Klattenhoff), whose obsessive tendencies make him both a valuable agent and a potential liability.
