Based on information provided by the Box Office Mojo and some internet research, here are just some of the movies you can expect to see in the movie theatres in June:

Band Aid
Opens: June 2

A non-stop fighting married couple (Zoe Lister-Jones and Adam Pally) attempt to save their marriage by turning their fights into songs. The film also stars Fred Armisen, Retta, Brooklyn Decker, Jesse Williams, Jerry O’Connell, Colin Hanks and Jamie Chung.

Wonder Woman
Opens: June 2

In the early 20th century, the Amazon princess Diana (Gal Gadot), who is living on the island of Themyscira, meets American military pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) when he is washed ashore. After learning from him about the ongoing events of World War I, she leaves her home for London to bring an early end to the war. The cast includes Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis and Connie Nielsen.

Megan Leavey
Opens: June 9

The movie is based on the true events about young female Marine Megan Leavey (Kate Mara) and a combat dog named Rex. The film also stars Edie Falco, Common, Tom Felton, Bradley Whitford and Will Patton.

My Cousin Rachel
Opens: June 9

The movie is based on the 1951 novel of the same name by Daphne du Maurier about a young Englishman (Sam Claflin), who seeks revenge against his beautiful cousin (Rachel Weisz), but soon finds himself falling under the spell of her mysterious charm. The cast includes Iain Glen and Holliday Grainger.

The Hero
Opens: June 9

Lee Hayden (Sam Elliott) is an aging Western icon with a golden voice, but his best performances are decades behind him. He spends his days reliving old glories and smoking too much weed with his former-co-star-turned-dealer, Jeremy (Nick Offerman), until a surprise cancer diagnosis brings his priorities into sharp focus. He soon strikes up an exciting, contentious relationship with stand-up comic Charlotte (Laura Prepon), and he attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter, Lucy (Krysten Ritter), all while searching for one final role to cement his legacy.

The Mummy
Opens: June 9

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the desert, ancient princess Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in the modern era, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension. The film stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe.

Cars 3
Opens: June 16

After being trounced in many races by high-tech racer Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer), many begin to wonder if the famous Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) will retire from racing after he endures a terrible crash. To preserve his racing career, he seeks help from race technician Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) and some other friends to train and attempt a comeback in the Florida 500. Other voices will be provided by Larry the Cable Guy, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin, Jenifer Lewis, John Ratzenberger, Tony Shalhoub, Katherine Helmond, Kerry Washington, Nathan Fillion, Chris Cooper and Margo Martindale.

The Book of Henry
Opens: June 16

In a small suburban town, a precocious 11-year-old boy, Henry Carpenter (Jaeden Lieberher), and his younger brother, Peter (Jacob Tremblay), are being raised by their single mother, Susan (Naomi Watts), a waitress. Henry has a crush on their neighbor Christina (Maddie Ziegler), stepdaughter of the Police Commissioner (Dean Norris). To protect Christina from harm at the hands of her stepfather, Henry comes up with a plan to rescue her that he writes down in a book. Henry’s mother discovers the book and decides that she and Peter will put Henry’s scheme into motion. The cast also includes Sarah Silverman and Lee Pace.

Maudie
Opens: June 16

An arthritic Nova Scotia woman (Sally Hawkins) works as a housekeeper while she hones her skills as an artist and eventually becomes a beloved figure in the community. The film also stars Ethan Hawke and Kari Matchett.

Transformers: The Last Knight
Opens: June 21

In the absence of Optimus Prime, a war has commenced between the human race and the Transformers. To save their world, Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) forms an alliance with Bumblebee, an English lord, and an Oxford professor to learn the secrets of why the Transformers keep coming back to Earth. The cast includes Stanley Tucci, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Laura Haddock, Santiago Cabrera and Mitch Pileggi.

The Beguiled
Opens: June 23

Based on the novel by Thomas P. Cullinan, an injured Union soldier (Colin Farrell) arrives at an all-female Southern boarding school during the Civil War. Soon, sexual tensions lead to dangerous rivalries as the women tend to his wounds and offer him shelter and companionship. The film includes Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning.

Despicable Me 3
Opens: June 30

Gru (Steve Carell) faces off against Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), a former child star who has grown up to become obsessed with the character that he played in the ’80s, and gets into some sibling rivalry when he meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist to steal the diamond that Bratt has stolen. Other voice actors include Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Julie Andrews and Jenny Slate.
