PICK-UP NEWS/CANCELLATION

The CW darkly comedic hour-long pilot Insatiable [which was not picked up for the 2017-2018 TV season], that was to star former Disney star Debby Ryan, seems to be on the path to be picked up by Netflix with a proposed 13 episode series order. The series was inspired by real-life Southern lawyer and top beauty pageant coach Bill Alverson, focusing on Bob, a disgraced, dissatisfied civil lawyer-turned-beauty pageant coach who takes on Patty (Ryan), a vengeful, bullied teenager as his client, and has no idea what he’s about to unleash upon the world.
