Here is the long list of programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
The fourth season premiere of Scorpion will air on CBS on September 25 at 10 PM. Also that same night, the new NBC military drama The Brave will debut at 10 PM. While D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell (Anne Heche) and her team of analysts wield the world’s most advanced surveillance technology from Washington, D.C., Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel) and his heroic Special Ops squad of highly trained undercover specialists use their unbreakable bond and commitment to freedom to save lives of innocent people and execute missions in some of the most dangerous places in the world.
Also on September 25, the new ABC drama The Good Doctor will debut at 10:01 PM. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore from Bates Motel), a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, relocates from a quiet country life to join a prestigious hospital’s surgical unit. Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, he uses his extraordinary medical gifts to save lives and challenge the skepticism of his colleagues.
The season premieres of the CBS dramas NCIS, Bull and NCIS: New Orleans will all air on September 26 at 8 PM, 9 PM and 10 PM respectively. Also that night, the second season premiere of Lethal Weapon will air on FOX at 8 PM while This Is Us will air its second season premiere also that night on NBC at 9 PM.
On September 26, the new NBC drama Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders will debut at 10 PM. This new 8-episode true-crime installment is a dramatization of the notorious murder case that changed America forever. When the Menendez brothers were tried on national TV for brutally killing their parents in Beverly Hills, their story became a national obsession.
The Blacklist will air its season premiere on NBC on September 27 at 8 PM while the FOX dramas Empire and Star will both air their season premieres also on September 27 at 8 PM and 9 PM respectively.
Also on September 27, the season premieres of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago P.D. will air on NBC at 9 PM and 10 PM respectively; while that same night the ABC drama Designated Survivor will be back for the start of its second season at 10 PM; and the season finale of the OWN drama Greenleaf will also air that night at 10 PM.
The new CBS drama Seal Team will debut on September 27 at 9 PM followed by the season premiere of Criminal Minds at 10 PM. David Boreanaz (Bones and Angel) will star in Seal Team, which follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high stakes missions our country can ask of them. Deployed on clandestine missions worldwide at a moment’s notice, and knowing the toll it takes on them and their families, this tight-knit SEAL team displays unwavering patriotism and fearless dedication, even in the face of overwhelming odds.
Also on September 27, the new 6-part SundanceTV drama Liar will debut at 10 PM. Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) and Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) star as Laura Nielson, a bright and dedicated teacher, and Andrew Earlham, a renowned surgeon whose son is a student at Laura’s school. After a seemingly innocent date, a series of volatile accusations capsize their lives. Secrets and lies slowly unravel in a tense and gripping series where everyone is lying in some way until the truth ultimately reveals itself.
The two-hour season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy will air on ABC on September 28 at 8 PM followed by the season premiere of How to Get Away With Murder at 10 PM; meanwhile the season premiere of the NBC drama Chicago Fire will also air that night at 10 PM.
On September 29, the CBS dramas MacGyver, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods will all air their season premieres at 8 PM, 9 PM and 10 PM respectively; while that same night the second season premiere of The Exorcist will air on FOX at 9 PM and also that night the fourth season of the Syfy series Z Nation will premiere at 9 PM.
The two-hour series premiere of Marvel’s Inhumans will air at the special time of 8 PM on ABC on September 29. The series explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.
On September 30, the new Hallmark Channel movie Harvest Love will debut at 9 PM. A widowed surgeon visits her family’s pear orchard in hopes of taking a break from her overbooked life and reconnecting with her distant son. She starts to fall for the farm manager, Will, who is growing a new hybrid pear and teaches her the importance of her heritage. The film stars Jen Lilley (from the Hallmark Channel movie Eat, Play, Love) and Ryan Paevey (from Hallmark Channel movie Unleashing Mr. Darcy).
Also on September 30, the Ovation period piece drama Versailles will air its season premiere at 10 PM.
The new CBS drama Wisdom of the Crowd will debut on October 1 at 8 PM. Jeremy Piven stars as visionary tech innovator Jeffrey Tanner, who creates a cutting-edge crowdsourcing app to solve his daughter’s murder, and in doing so, revolutionizes crime solving in the process. The original cop who searched for his daughter’s killer, Det. Tommy Cavanaugh (Richard T. Jones) is recruited to work with him.
Also on October 1, the 2-hour third season premiere of Poldark will air on PBS at 9 PM while that same night NCIS: Los Angeles will premiere on CBS at 9 PM.
Lastly, on October 1, the new drama Ten Days in the Valley will debut on ABC at 10 PM. Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) stars as Jane Sadler, an overworked television producer and single mother in the middle of a separation whose life is turned upside down when her young daughter goes missing in the middle of the night. Just like her controversial police TV show, everything is a mystery, everyone has a secret and no one can be trusted.
