The Lifetime movie Sea Change will debut on September 17 at 8 PM.

A supernatural film based on the YA novel by author Aimee Friedman, follows Miranda Merchant (newcomer Emily Rudd) a teen girl on a journey to reunite with her estranged mother Amelia (Maria Dizzia from Orange is the New Black), who lives on a seemingly idyllic island off the coast of New England after the death of her father.

As Miranda settles into island life, she finds herself torn between TJ (Keenan Tracey from Supernatural), heir to one of the oldest Selkie families, and mysterious bad boy Leo (Skyler Maxon from Faking It) who is part of the working class “townies.” When Miranda learns about the Seawalkers, who, according to local legend, are half human and half sea creature, she begins to believe that they could be real. As she uncovers more about her family’s past, Miranda makes a startling discovery about her own connections to the Seawalkers.

Here is a trailer for Sea Change.

The TV One original movie Downsized with debut on September 16 at 9 PM.

Ebony (Nicole Ari Parker from Time After Time and Rosewood) and Michael (Boris Kodjoe from Code Black and Soul Food) were forced into a modern “shotgun” wedding after becoming teenaged parents, putting their personal goals on hold in order to support their family. Amazingly, the two high school sweethearts managed to overcome the odds and establish a seemingly ideal life for themselves.

However, the success that initially was meant to strengthen their family has become the very thing that is driving them apart. As a result, Michael desperately tries to hold onto everything he’s worked his entire life to gain. This leads the family on an unconventional adventure to restore the faith, hope, and the trust that first brought them together.

Here is a trailer for Downsized.

Ratings Delayed

The following comes straight from my main source for all things ratings: ShowBuzzDaily:

“The Nielsen data center, where viewing data from the sample homes is processed and validated, remains closed. Nielsen reports that data from sample homes continues to be collected at a back-up facility, but the Florida center and the staff impacted by the storm are required to process the data and verify program line-ups. Check back late Tuesday for another update, possibly including revised release times.”

Once ShowBuzzDaily has access to ratings, I’ll be posting them here.
