On February 26, the new WGN America drama Shoot the Messenger will debut at 10 PM.

The series follows Daisy Channing (Elyse Levesque from Cedar Cove and Stargate Universe), a young reporter trying to balance a messy personal life with a burgeoning career. Things begin to go sideways for Daisy when she witnesses a murder she thinks is gang related, only to find herself slowly drawn into an interconnected web of criminal and illicit sexual activity that reaches into the corridors of corporate and political power.

It’s the kind of news story that will destroy lives, including those of her own family. With help from her editor Mary Foster (Alex Kingston from ER and Doctor Who), co-worker Simon Olenski (Lucas Bryant from Haven), and lead homicide detective Kevin Lutz (Lyriq Bent from Rookie Blue and Mary Kills People), Daisy uncovers a cover-up so scandalous it could bring down the government.

On February 26, the new AMC drama McMafia will debut at 10 PM.

The series charts Alex Godman’s (James Norton from Grantchester) journey as he is drawn deeper and deeper into the world of organized crime. As the English-raised son of Russian exiles with a mafia history, Alex has spent his life trying to escape the shadow of that criminal past, building his own legitimate business and forging a life with his girlfriend Rebecca (Juliet Rylance from the box office films Sinister and Frances Ha).

But when his family’s past returns to threaten them, Alex is forced to confront his values to protect those he loves. What starts out as a story of survival and revenge becomes an epic tale of a man’s struggle against the lures of corruption in the modern world and in himself.

The cast also includes Faye Marsay (Game of Thrones) and David Strathairn (Alphas and The Blacklist).
