Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On July 10, The 100 will move to its new time of 8 PM on The CW followed by the debut of the new drama The Outpost at 9 PM. The Outpost follows Talon (Jessica Green from Ash vs. Evil Dead), the lone survivor of a race called “Blackbloods.” Years after her entire village is destroyed by a gang of brutal mercenaries, Talon travels to a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilized world, as she tracks the killers of her family. On her journey to this outpost, Talon discovers she possesses a mysterious supernatural power that she must learn to control in order to save herself, and defend the world against a fanatical religious dictator.

Also on July 10, the fourth season premiere of Hit the Floor will air on BET at 10 PM.

The season finale of The Handmaid’s Tale will air online on Hulu on July 11; and the the streaming series Harlots will air its second season premiere online on July 11 on Hulu.

On July 13, the Cinemax drama C.B. Strike will air its season finale at 10 PM

Lasly on July 15, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To The Altar will air at 9 PM. The POstables (returning cast members Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson) are back to tackle a new dead letter case. When plans for Rita and Norman’s long-awaited wedding begins falling apart days before their nuptials, their challenges inspire changes that make their wedding more meaningful. Meanwhile, Shane convinces Oliver that the team should urgently focus on finding clues to deliver a package containing a wedding dress.

RENEWALS AND PICK-UPS

TNT has renewed Claws for a third season and Animal Kingdom for a fourth season. (Variety)

Netflix has picked up a 10-episode order of the FOX pilot Mixtape that didn’t go to series at the major network. Mixtape is a romantic musical drama that will look at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds. The cast will include Jenna Dewan, Callie Hernandez and Madeline Stowe [among others]. (Deadline)

TV CASTING NEWS

Actress-singer Brandy Norwood has been promoted to series regular for season 3 of the FOX drama Star, playing Cassie Brown, the sister of Carlotta (Queen Latifah). (Deadline)

MOVIE CASTING NEWS

Actress Vanessa Kirby (The Crown) and actor Idris Elba (Thor and Luthor) have joined the spin-off of the Fast and Furious franchise to be called Hobbs and Shaw (the characters played by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Elba is expected to play the main villain. (Variety)

We are knee deep in summer and the cable networks have been showering TV viewers with plenty of new episodes of their summer fare.

Let’s take a look at how all of the cable dramas performed during the month of June.

CABLE DRAMAS

MONDAYS:

Dietland – The new AMC drama aired its two-hour debut on June 4, airing five episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 4 – 668,000 viewers (Two-Hour DEBUT)
June 11 – 490,000 viewers
June 18 – 449,000 viewers
June 25 – 409,000 viewers

This average out to 403,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 2 with the next new episode of Dietland set to air on AMC on Monday, July 9 at 9 PM.

The Fosters – The final three episodes EVER of the long-running Freeform (formerly ABC Family) series aired during the beginning of June, airing back-to-back over the course of three days. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 4 – 634,000 viewers (Part 1 of Series Finale)
June 5 – 607,000 viewers (Part 2 of Series Finale)
June 6 – 633,000 viewers (Part 3 of Series Finale)

This averages out to 625,000 viewers.

X Company – The Ovation period piece drama aired four more new episodes of its second season during June, but no ratings could be tracked down. A new episode aired on July 2 with the next episode (the penultimate episode) of X Company set to air on Ovation on Monday, July 9 at 10 PM.

TUESDAYS:

Legion – The FX drama aired the final two of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 467,000 viewers
June 12 – 315,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 391,000 viewers for June. Legion has been renewed by FX for a third season and will return sometime next year.

In Contempt – The new BET drama aired the finale two episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 501,000 viewers
June 12 – 539,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 520,000 viewers in June. A second season of In Contempt has yet to be announced by BET.

Genius: Picasso – The National Geographic anthology series aired the final three episodes of its season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 267,000 viewers
June 12 – 269,000 viewers
June 19 – 342,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 293,000 viewers in June. The third season of the Genius anthology series has been ordered by the National Geographic Network.

The Haves and the Have Nots – The OWN drama aired four new episodes of its fifth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 1.8 million viewers
June 12 – 1.8 million viewers
June 19 – 1.9 million viewers
June 26 – 1.9 million viewers

This averages out to 1.9 million viewers in June. A new episode aired on July 3 with the next new episode of The Haves and the Have Nots set to air on OWN on Tuesday, July 10 at 9 PM.

Animal Kingdom – The TNT crime family drama actually returned for the start of its second season on May 29 and aired four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

May 29 – 1.3 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 5 – 1.2 million viewers
June 12 – 1.2 million viewers
June 19 – 1.3 million viewers
June 26 – 1.3 million viewers

This average out to 1.3 million viewers for the above time period. A new episode aired on July 3 with the next new episodes of Animal Kingdom set to air on TNT on Tuesday, July 10 at 9 PM.

100 Code – The cop drama aired four new episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 201,000 viewers
June 12 – 237,000 viewers
June 19 – 167,000 viewers
June 26 – 200,000 viewers

This averages out to 201,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 3 with the next new episode of 100 Code set to air on WGN America on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 PM.

Humans – The AMC sci-fi series returned for the start of its third season on June 5, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 526,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
June 12 – 419,000 viewers
June 19 – 384,000 viewers
June 26 – 383,000 viewers

This averages out to 428,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 3 with the next new episode of Humans set to air on AMC on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 PM.

The Bold Type – The Freeform drama returned for the start of its second season on June 12 with two back-to-back episodes, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 12 – 302,000 viewers (Hour 1 – Season Premiere)
June 12 – 184,000 viewers (Hour 2 – Season Premiere)
June 19 – 400,000 viewers
June 26 – 334,000 viewers

This averages out to 305,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 3 with the next new episodes of The Bold Type set to air on Freeform on Tuesday, July 10 at 8 PM.

Love Is – The new OWN drama debuted on June 19, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 19 – 1 million viewers (DEBUT)
June 26 – 976,000 viewers

This averages out to 988,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 3 with the next new episode of Love Is set to air on OWN on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 PM.

Younger – The TV Land dramedy returned for the start of its fifth season on June 12, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 5 – 603,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
June 12 – 701,000 viewers
June 19 – 635,000 viewers
June 26 – 735,000 viewers

This averages out to 669,000 viewers for June. The next new episode of Younger will air on TV Land on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAYS:

The Expanse – The third season of Syfy drama came to a close with the last four episodes of its current season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 6 – 568,000 viewers
June 13 – 615,000 viewers
June 20 – 670,000 viewers
June 27 – 730,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 646,000 for June. The Expanse was cancelled by Syfy, but a new season was picked up by Amazon Video.

Colony – The USA Network drama aired four more new episodes its third season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 6 – 718,000 viewers
June 13 – 785,000 viewers
June 20 – 729,000 viewers
June 27 – 704,000 viewers

This averages out to 734,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 4 with the next new episode of Colony set to air on the USA Network on Wednesday, July 11 at 10 PM.

Six – The History Channel military drama aired four more new episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 6 – 665,000 viewers
June 13 – 892,000 viewers
June 20 – 757,000 viewers
June 27 – 790,000 viewers

This averages out to 776,000 viewers for June. The next new episode of Six is set to air on the History Channel on Wednesday, July 11 at 10 PM.

Queen Sugar – The OWN drama aired four more new episodes of its third season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 6 – 918,000 viewers
June 13 – 1.1 million viewers
June 20 – 1.1 million viewers
June 27 – 1.2 million viewers

This average out to 1.1million viewers for June. The next new episode of Queen Sugar is set to air on OWN on Wednesday, July 11 at 10 PM.

Yellowstone – The Paramount Network drama, starring Kevin Costner, debuted on June 20, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 20 – 2.8 million viewers (DEBUT)
June 27 – 2.1 million viewers

This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for June. The next new episode of Yellowstone will air on the Paramount Network on Wednesday, July 11 at 10 PM.

Condor – The new Audience Network drama (available only via DirecTV) debuted on June 6, airing four episodes of its debut season during the month, but no ratings could be tracked down. A new episode was supposed to air on July 4 with the next new episode of Condor expected to air on Wednesday, July 11 at 10 PM.

THURSDAYS:

Nashville – The former ABC now CMT country music-themed drama returned for its final season starting on June 7, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 7 – 722,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
June 14 – 756,000 viewers
June 21 – 749,000 viewers
June 28 – 666,000 viewers

This averages out to 723,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 5 with the next new episode of Nashville set to air on CMT on Thursday, July 12 at 9 PM.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger – The new Freeform drama debuted on June 7 with two back-to-back episodes with five episodes in total airing during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 7 – 919,000 viewers (DEBUT – Hour 1)
June 7 – 750,000 viewers (DEBUT – Hour 2)
June 14 – 548,000 viewers
June 21 – 606,000 viewers
June 28 – 509,000 viewers

This average out to 666,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 5 with the next new episode of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger set to air on Freeform on Thursday, July 12 at 8 PM.

American Woman – The new Paramount Network half-hour dramedy debuted on June 7, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 21 – 381,000 viewers
June 28 – 338,000 viewers

This averages out to 418,000 viewers for June. The next new episode of American Woman is expected to air on Paramount Network on Thursday, July 12 at 10 PM.

Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce – The final season of the Bravo Network drama got started on June 14, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episode are as follows:

June 14 – 415,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
June 21 – 449,000 viewers
June 28 – 437,000 viewers

This averages out to 434,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 5 with the next new episode of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce set to air on the Bravo Network on Thursday, July 12 at 10 PM.

Queen of the South – The drug smuggling USA Network drama returned for the start of its third season on June 21, airing two episode during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

12 Monkeys – The final season of the Syfy post-apocalyptic time travel drama returned on June 15, airing three episodes on that night as well as three episodes on each of the following Fridays. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 15 – 336,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
June 15 – 259,000 viewers
June 15 – 215,000 viewers
June 22 – 336,000 viewers
June 22 – 273,000 viewers
June 22 – 264,000 viewers
June 29 – 293,000 viewers
June 29 – 243,000 viewers
June 29 – 254,000 viewers

This averages out to 275,000 viewers for June. The two-hour series finale aired on July 5 and those ratings will be included in next month’s report.

SATURDAYS:

Patrick Melrose – The limited Showtime series aired the final two episodes of its debut during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 2 – 264,000 viewers
June 9 – 197,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 231,000 viewers for June. Patrick Melrose has yet to be given a second season renewal by Showtime.

SUNDAYS:

Fear the Walking Dead – The other AMC zombie-fest drama aired two new episodes of its fourth season, including its mid-season finale, during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 2 million viewers
June 10 – 2.3 million (Mid-Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.2 million viewers for May. Fear the Walking Dead will return for the remainder of its 4th season on AMC on Sunday, August 12 at 9 PM.

Into the Badlands – The third season of the AMC action drama aired three new episodes, including its mid-season finale, during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 921,000 viewers
June 10- 1.1 million viewers
June 17 – 894,000 viewers

This averages out to1.1 million viewers for June. The rest of the third season of Into the Badlands is anticipated to return on AMC sometime later this year.

Billions – The Showtime drama aired the final two episodes of its third season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 900,000 viewers
June 10 – 938,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 919,000 viewers for June. Billions has been renewed for a fourth season by Showtime and is expected to return sometime next year.

Westworld – The HBO hit series aired the final four episodes of its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 1.4 million viewers
June 10 – 1.4 million viewers
June 17 – 1.6 million viewers
June 24 – 1.6 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for June. Westworld has been renewed for a third season by HBO and is expected to be back sometime in 2019.

Good Witch – The Hallmark Channel family favorite drama aired four new episodes of its fourth season during June with the season finale airing on July 1. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 2.1 million viewers
June 10 – 2 million viewers
June 17 – 2 million viewers
June 24 – 2.1 million viewers
July 1 – 2.2 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for June. Good Witch will return to the Hallmark Channel at Halloween for its annual two-hour movie special.

Sweetbitter – The Starz half-hour NYC-based drama aired the final two episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 185,000 viewers
June 10 – 210,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 198,000 viewers for June. Sweetbitter has yet to be renewed for a second season by Starz.

Vida – The other new half-hour Starz drama also aired the final two episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 136,000 viewers
June 10 – 163,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 150,000 viewers for June. Vida has given a second season renewal by Starz.

Pose – The new FX drama debuted on June 3, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 688,000 viewers (DEBUT)
June 10 – 548,000 viewers
June 17 – 561,000 viewers
June 24 – 719,000 viewers

This averages out to 629,000 viewers for June. A new episode aired on July 1 with the next new episode of Pose set to air on FX on Sunday, July 8 at 10 PM.

Succession – The HBO drama debuted on June 3, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Deep State – The new EPIX spy drama debuted on June 17, airing two episodes during the month, but ratings could not be tracked down. A new episode aired on July 1 with the next new episode of Deep State set to air on EPIX on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

Private Eyes – The Canadian P.I. drama returned to ION for the start of its second season on June 24, but ratings could not be tracked down. A new episode aired on July 1 with the next new episode of Private Eyes set to air on ION on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

Endeavour – The 5th season of the British detective drama premiered on June 24, but no ratings could be tracked down. A new episode aired on July 1 with the next new episode of Endeavour set to air on PBS on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

The new drama The Outpost will debut on The CW on July 10 at 9 PM.
