The news has been floating around the internet for a few weeks that Veronica Mars would be coming back for a fourth season on Hulu.
Well, the official news broke today that Season 4 of Veronica Mars will air in summer 2019 on the streaming service!
Let’s get excited, Marshmellows!!!!
First of all, check out this video message from our leader Kristen Bell.
Next, here are the details from Hulu in their new deal with Warner Bros. Television Group:
• 8 episodes, direct-to-series order, slated for summer of 2019
• Fans can stream seasons 1, 2 and 3 as well as the 2014 feature film beginning in summer 2019
• Series creator Rob Thomas will write the first episode
• The season 4 synopsis is: “Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”
Series creator Rob Thomas took to Twitter this afternoon, letting fans know that season 4 will be set against a Spring Break backdrop like the Veronica Mars book The Thousand Dollar Tan Line, BUT that is NOT the story they will be telling. He shared, “We’re five years after the movie. Books are 98% canon. Pony is included. Marcia Langdon is police chief. Spoiler: Neptune (is) finally incorporated.”
Again, let’s get excited, Marshmellows!!!!
