Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On September 24, the second season of The Resident will premiere on FOX at 8 PM followed by the second part of the season premiere of 9-1-1 at 9 PM.
Also that night (September 24), the remake of Magnum P.I. will debut on CBS at 9 PM followed by the season premiere of Bull now on its new night and time – Mondays at 10 PM. Jay Hernandez (Scandal and The Expanse) stars as Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum has Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks from Ready Player One and Penny Dreadful) and her Dobermans to keep him in line, as well as his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors TC (Stephen Hill from Boardwalk Empire and Luke Cage) and Rick (Zachary Knighton from Happy Endings) when he needs back-up on a job.
The Good Doctor will air it second season premiere on September 24 at 10 PM on ABC.
Also on September 24, the new NBC drama Manifest will debut at 10 PM. When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible. The ensemble cast includes Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time), Athena Karkanis (The Lottery, The Expanse and Zoo), J.R. Ramirez (Jessica Jones and Power), Melissa Roxburgh (Valor and Supernatural), Parveen Kaur (Saving Hope) and Luna Blaise (Fresh Off the Boat) [among others].
The second season premiere of The Gifted will air on September 25 on FOX at 8 PM followed by the season premiere of Lethal Weapon at 9 PM. Also on September 25, NCIS will return to CBS for its 16th season at 8 PM followed by the debut of the new drama FBI at 9 PM and the season premiere of NCIS: New Orleans at 10 PM. FBI is a fast-paced new drama will focus on the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. These first-class agents bring all their talents, intellect and technical expertise to tenaciously investigate cases of tremendous magnitude, including terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence, in order to keep New York and the country safe. The cast includes Missy Peregrym (Rookie Blue), Zeeko Zaki (Six and Valor), Ebonee Noel (Still Star-Crossed), Jeremy Sisto (Suburgatory) and Sela Ward (Sisters).
This Is Us will premiere the start of its third season on NBC on September 25 at 9 PM followed by the debut of New Amsterdam at 10 PM. New Amsterdam, is inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, this unique medical drama follows the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold from The Blacklist), the institution’s newest medical director who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. The cast includes Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Janet Montgomery (Salem), Jocko Sims (The Last Ship) and Tyler Labine (Deadbeat and Reaper).
On September 26, the NBC franchise dramas Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD will air their season premieres at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively. That same night, the season premieres of Empire and Star will air on FOX at 8 and 9 PM respectively.
Also on September 26, the new ABC drama A Million Little Things will debut at 10 PM. They say friendship isn’t one big thing, it’s a million little things; and that’s true for a group of friends from Boston who bonded under unexpected circumstances. Some have achieved success, others are struggling in their careers and relationships, but all of them feel stuck in life. After one of them dies unexpectedly, it’s just the wake-up call the others need to finally start living. Along the way, they discover that friends may be the one thing to save them from themselves. The cast includes David Giuntoli (Grimm), James Roday (Psych), Romany Malco (Weeds), Grace Park (Hawaii Five-0 and Battlestar Galactica), Stephanie Szostak (Satisfaction), Allison Miller (Incorporated and 13 Reasons Why), Christina Moses (The Originals), Christina Ochoa (Valor and Blood Drive) and Ron Livingston (Loudermilk).
The two-hour season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy will air on September 27 on ABC at 8 PM followed by the season premiere of How to Get Away With Murder at 10 PM. That same night, the two-hour season premiere of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will air at the special time of 9 PM on NBC. Also that night, the second season of S.W.A.T. will air on CBS at 10 PM.
On September 28, the season premieres of MacGyver, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods will air at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively on CBS. Also on September 28, the season finale of Outcast will air on Cinemax at 10 PM AND the season finale of Wynonna Earp will air on Syfy at 9 PM.
The original Hallmark Channel movie All of My Heart: The Wedding will debut on September 29 at 9 PM. Jenny (Lacey Chabert from Mean Girls and Party of Five) and Brian’s (Brennan Elliott from Cedar Cove) wedding plans are interrupted when Meg arrives, claiming she’s also an heir to their inn. Now they must focus on raising the money to buy Meg out, and Brian considers returning to Wall Street, until Bucks County has a fundraiser. Still, they’re short on the funds they need, and an interested buyer shows up who intends to rebuild the aging structure rather than tenderly repair it like Jenny and Brian always have. For now, though, focusing on marrying is all that matters to these loving innkeepers, who hope their happy-ever-after can be spent creating more romance in Emily’s Inn.
Lastly on September 30, the Durrells in Corfu and Poldark will both air their season premieres on PBS at 8 and 9 PM respectively. That same night, the new CBS drama God Friended Me will debut at the special time of 8:30 PM followed by the season premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles at 9:30 PM. God Friended Me stars Brandon Micheal Hall (The Mayor) as Miles Finer, an outspoken atheist whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from God and unwittingly becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him. The cast includes Violett Beane (The Flash), Joe Morton (Scandal and Eureka) and Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi and Homeland) and Kyle Harris (Stitchers).
Also on September 30, the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead will air at 9 PM on AMC.
