The PBS movie Anne of Green Gables: Fire & Dew will debut on September 23 at 7:30 PM.

Anne Shirley (Ella Ballentine) heads to school in the city while Matthew and Marilla (Martin Sheen and Sara Botsford) face emptiness.

Will Anne, overwhelmed by competition – especially from Gilbert Blythe – find that the dark cloud over her life does have a silver lining?

With the start of fall TV just a week away, summer programming is coming to a close with two finales airing on the major networks last night as well as plenty of reality and repeats.

Here is how those two dramas fared in the overall ratings:

9 PM Show:

10 PM Show:

On September 22, the original Hallmark Channel movie Truly, Madly, Sweetly will debut at 9 PM.

Natalie (Nikki DeLoach from Awkward), the owner of a San Francisco food truck business selling cupcakes, and Eric (Dylan Neal from Cedar Cove), a finance manager and divorced dad are brought together when Eric’s aunt, also a longtime customer of Natalie’s, passes away and leaves them a building which happens to be the site of a once-famous bakery.

Forced into this new partnership, they discover selling the building won’t be easy because it has been declared a historical site. Romance blooms as they spend time together in the process of renovating the old bakery. However, Natalie’s desire to keep things strictly business could put an end to the partnership before the grand opening.

When a perfectionist ad exec (Sanaa Lathan) experiences a romantic setback, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery that begins with a dramatic hair makeover.

The cast includes Ernie Hudson (Grace and Frankie), Lynn Whitfield (Greenleaf), Ricky Whittle (American Gods and The 100), Lyric Bent (Mary Kills People and Shoot the Messenger) and Camille Guaty (Scorpion and Happyland)

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On September 17, the season finales of Salvation and Elementary will air on CBS at 9 and 10 PM respectively.

The fall finale of Suits will air on the USA Network at 9 PM followed by the season finale of The Sinner on September 19 at 10 PM.

On September 21, the Netflix series The Good Cop will debut online. Tony Danza (Who’s the Boss) plays Tony Sr. (Big Tony), a lovable yet not exactly honorable, former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, Tony Jr. (TJ) (singer-actor Josh Groban), a brilliant, straight-laced NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules while solving Brooklyn’s toughest cases. This “odd couple” become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly-cautious son blunt, street-wise advice.

Also on September 21, the complete first season of the Netflix series Maniac will debut online.
