Here is the long list of the programming options to expect on TV this holiday week:
On January 7, the winter premiere of Manifest will air on NBC at 10 PM.
The new Freeform drama Good Trouble – the spin-off series from The Fosters – will debut on January 8 at 8 PM. The series follows Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young adult lives in Los Angeles, as Mariana tackles the male-dominated world of tech and Callie faces the harsh realities of the federal legal system clerking for a federal judge. After moving to The Coterie in Downtown Los Angeles, Callie and Mariana realize that living on their own is not all that it’s cracked up to be. Faced with new neighbors, new challenges and, of course, new romances, the sisters must depend on one another to navigate the City of Angels.
The other new drama to air on January 8 is the History Channel series Project Blue Book will debut at 10 PM. Based on the true, Top Secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force from 1952-1969, the series follows the personal experiences of Dr. J. Allen Hynek (Aidan Gillen from Game of Thrones), a brilliant college professor recruited by the U.S. Air Force to spearhead this clandestine operation that researched thousands of cases, over 700 of which remain unsolved to this day. Each episode will draw from the actual case files blending UFO theories with authentic historical events from one of the most mysterious eras in United States history. The series also stars Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries).
Also on January 8, the winter premieres of the following shows will air: NCIS, FBI and NCIS: New Orleans on CBS at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively; The Rookie on ABC at 10 PM and New Amsterdam on NBC at 10 PM.
The 6th season premiere of The Haves and the Have Nots will also air on OWN on January 8 at 9 PM.
On January 9, the winter premieres of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will air on NBC at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will air its winter premiere on NBC on January 10 at 10 PM.
The winter premieres of Blindspot will air on NBC on January 11 at 8 PM and that same night the winter premiere of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will air on The CW at 9 PM.
Also, the second season premiere of the Hulu series Future Man will air online on January 11 while that same day, the new Amazon Prime drama Informer will debut online. The series centers on Raza (Nabhaan Rizwan), a young, aimless second-generation Pakistani living in east London. After he gets busted on a minor drug charge following a night out with friends, counterterrorist agent Gabe (Paddy Considine) manipulates him into becoming an informer. Meanwhile, Gabe is hiding his own secrets from his nosy and ambitious new field partner Holly (Bel Powley).
On January 12, the Hallmark Channel movie One Winter Proposal is set to debut at 8 PM with the original cast Taylor Cole, Jack Turner, Rukiya Bernard and Dewshane Williams will all reprise their roles.
The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Emma Fielding Mysteries: More Bitter Than Death will debut on January 13 at 9 PM, starring Courtney Thorne-Smith, James Tupper and Mark Valley.
Also on January 13, the two-hour series premiere of the new National Geographic Channel drama Valley of the Boom will air at 9 PM. Silicon Valley spawned some of the world’s most influential people and recognizable brands during the 1990s tech bubble. The series pulls back the curtain and introduces the audience to the real stories of these founders’ friendships, rivalries, victories and failures. Told with unparalleled access to the most groundbreaking and prominent figures in the tech world, the six-part limited series will follow the stories that made the history of the era. The cast includes Bradley Whitford (The West Wing), Steve Zahn (The Crossing) and Lamorne Morris (New Girl).
The season finale of Ray Donovan will air on Showtime on January 13 at 9 PM; and that same night the season finale of Dirty John will air at 10 PM on Bravo.
Lastly, the third season premiere of Victoria will air on PBS on January 13 at 9 PM while that same night, True Detective will air its third season premiere on HBO at 9 PM followed by a special airing at 10 PM.
