Here is the long list of the programming options to expect on TV this holiday week:
On January 21, Arrow will air its winter premiere on The CW at 8 PM followed by the winter premiere of Black Lightning [on its new night] at 9 PM.
The 4th season premiere of The Magicians will air on January 22 at 9 PM on Syfy while the 8th season premiere of Suits will air on the USA Network at 10 PM. Also, that night the WGN America new drama Pure will debut at 10 PM. The series follows the journey of Noah Funk (Ryan Robbins), a newly elected Mennonite pastor, who is determined to rid his community of the scourge of drugs and its nefarious ties to a trans-border smuggling alliance with ruthless Mexican cocaine cartels. Just when he thinks he’s won, Noah and his wife Anna are thrust headlong into a desperate world of violence, greed, and betrayal.
On January 24, the 2nd season premiere of Siren will air on Freeform at 8 PM; and that same night the winter premiere of Legacies will air on The CW at 9 PM.
The season premiere of Strike Back will air on Cinemax on January 25 at 10 PM while that same night the 8-episode BBC limited series Black Earth Rising will debut on Netflix. The series centers on a woman named Kate Ashby (Black Mirror alum Michaela Coel), who remembers very little of her childhood before she was rescued from Rwandan genocide by an international human rights attorney named Eve (Harriet Walter). The only things she knows for certain is that she bears the physical and emotional scars of torment.
On January 26, the Hallmark Channel movie Snowcoming will debut at 8 PM, starring Lindy Booth and Trevor Donovan followed by the the special Countdown to Valentine’s Preview will air at 11 PM.
The original FOX telefilm Rent will debut on January 27 at 7 PM, following the unforgettable story of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams during a time of great social and political turmoil. And, that same night the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Mystery 101 will debut at 9 PM, starring Jill Wagner and Kristoffer Polaha.
Also on January 27, the season finale of the National Geographic Channel new series Valley of the Boom will air at 9 PM and that same night the season finale of Outlander will air on Starz at 8 PM.
Lastly, also on January 27, the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air on TBS and TNT at 8 PM.
