Last night’s programming options was pretty normal with all of the Monday night dramas airing new episodes, as well as the regular timeslot premiere of a new mid-season series and the return of one drama in its new timeslot.

Here is how all those Monday night dramas fared in the overall ratings:

8 PM Shows:
The Resident (FOX) [NEW] – 4.5 million viewers
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (The CW) [NEW] – 1 million viewers

9 PM Shows:
9-1-1 (FOX) [NEW] – 5.7 million viewers

The Hallmark Channel movie Easter Under Wraps will debut on April 20 at 8 PM.

Marketing director at Cavendish Chocolates, Erika (Fiona Gubelmann) goes undercover to see why sales have declined and learns from handsome chocolatier Bryan (Brendan Penny) automation has replaced quality. Later, at the museum, Erika is saddened to see the replica of the Cavendish egg, and is inspired by Bryan’s Easter egg sketches to go retro and bring back the legendary confection! Excited, the two pitch the idea to board members, who know Erika is undercover. Too bad Bryan sees her photo at a Cavendish event, and feeling duped, wonders if he should accept a job offer from a rival company.

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this week:

On April 15, The CW drama Arrow will move to its new time of 9 PM.

The season finale of The Rookie will air on ABC on April 16 at 10 PM; and that same night the two-hour series finale of the BET drama Being Mary Jane will air at 9 PM.

On April 18, the season finale of Star Trek: Discovery will air on CBS All Access.

The fifth season of the Amazon drama Bosch will premiere online on April 19. That same night, the Netflix movie Someone Great will debut online. An aspiring music journalist, Jenny (Gina Rodriguez from Jane the Virgin), has just landed her dream job at an iconic magazine and is about to move to San Francisco. Rather than do long distance, her boyfriend of nine years, Nick (Lakeith Stanfield from Get Out) decides to call it quits. To nurse her broken heart, Jenny gathers up her two best friends, Erin and Blair (DeWanda Wise from She’s Gotta Have It and Brittany Snow from Pitch Perfect), for one outrageous last adventure in New York City. The cast includes Rosario Dawson (Daredevil).

When a beloved supermarket owner is killed in the early morning hours before opening, restauranteur and TV chef Billie Blessings (Holly Robinson Peete) becomes involved in the investigation of what quickly appears to be the work of a clever and darkly sinister serial killer. Even as her relationship with police detective Ian Jackson (Rick Fox) begins to take a more romantic turn, Billie cannot resist involvement in the case, despite putting herself in tremendous danger.

RENEWALS

Killing Eve has been given a third season renewal (Variety)

Preacher will end after its upcoming fourth season on AMC. (Variety)

Hulu has renewed Future Man for its third and final season. (Variety)

CBS has renewed NCIS for its 17th season and Blue Bloods was renewed for a 10th season as well.  (Variety)

Good Girls has been given a third season renewal by NBC. (Variety)

Amazon has given Hanna a second season renewal. (Variety)

Hallmark Channel has given When Calls the Heart a 7th season renewal as viewer await the return of the show’s 6th season. (Hallmark Channel Promo)

SERIES PICK-UP NEWS

AMC is launching a third series in The Walking Dead franchise, which will debut in 2020, and will focus on two young female protagonists. No other specific details are available just yet. (Variety)

TV CASTING NEWS

Actor Iain Glen (Game of Thrones) will recur in the DC Universe second season of Titans, playing the iconic role of Bruce Wayne, an older version of the character actually who, after decades of fighting crime as Batman, is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his Caped Crusader days. The 2nd season will premiere this fall. (Deadline and TV Line)

Actress Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) has landed a lead role in the upcoming Perry Mason HBO series that will star Matthew Rhys (The Americans) in the lead role. Maslany will play Sister Alice, the leader of the Radiant Assembly of God, preaching three sermons a day to a hungry congregation and a radio audience that spans the country. An entertainer, politician, God’s conduit to the City of Angels, Sister Alice wields great power when she speaks, and plans to use it in ways only she can know. (Variety)

MOVIE CASTING NEWS

Mark Wahlberg and Connie Britton will star in the box office movie Monsters and Men with Wahlberg playing real-life Oregonian father Joe Bell, who sets out on a walk across the United States with his son. (Variety)

It was a busy enough month for the cable networks with loads of dramas and just a little over a handful of made-for-TV movies airing new episodes throughout the month of March. First, let’s take a look at how the cable network dramas fared in the ratings for last month.

CABLE DRAMAS

MONDAYS:

Shadowhunters – The Freeform fantasy series aired four more episodes from its third and final season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 4 – 307,000 viewers
March 11 – 346,000 viewers
March 18 – 308,000 viewers
March 25 – 354,000 viewers

This averages out to 329,000 viewers for March. New episodes aired on April 1 and April 8 with the next new episode of Shadowhunters set to air on Freeform on Monday, April 15 at 8 PM.

Knightfall – The History Channel period piece drama returned for its second season on March 25, earing 928,000 viewers. New episodes aired on April 1 and April 8 with the next new episodes of Knightfall set to air on the History Channel on Monday, April 15 at 10 PM.

Into the Badlands – The AMC action drama returned for the start of its third season with a two-night season premiere on March 24 and March 25, earning 1.2 million viewers and 591,000 viewers respectively. New episodes aired on April 1 and April 8 with the next new episode of Into the Badlands set to air on AMC on Monday, April 15 at 10 PM.

TUESDAYS:

Good Trouble – The spin-off series from The Fosters aired four new episodes from its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 5 – 409,000 viewers
March 12 – 312,000 viewers
March 19 – 333,000 viewers
March 25 – 343,000 viewers
April 2 – 363,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 287,000 viewers for the above time period. Good Trouble will return for a second season on Freeform on Tuesday, June 18 at 8 PM.

Project Blue Book – The period piece History Channel drama aired the final two episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 5 – 1.5 million viewers
March 12 – 1.6 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for March. Project Blue Book will return for a second season on the History Channel sometime next year.

The Haves and the Have Nots – The popular OWN soap opera aired three new episodes from its 6th season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 5 – 1.7 million viewers
March 12 – 1.8 million viewers
March 19 – 1.9 million viewers

This averages out to 1.8 million viewers for March. The Haves and the Have Nots will be back on OWN for the rest of its 6th season on set to air on OWN on Tuesday, May 7 at 9 PM.

If Loving You Is Wrong – The OWN soap opera returned for its fourth season, starting on March 19, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 19 – 1.5 million viewers (Two-Night Season Premiere)
March 20 – 1 million viewers (Two-Night Season Premiere)
March 27 – 811,000 viewers

This averages out to 1.1 million viewers for March. New episodes aired its new night (Wednesdays) April 2 and April 9 with the next new episode of If Loving You Is Wrong set to air on OWN on Wednesday, April 16 at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAYS:

Deadly Class – The Syfy adaptation of the comic book aired the final three new episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 6 – 372,000 viewers
March 13 – 368,000 viewers
March 20 – 340,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 360,000 viewers for March. Syfy has yet to renew Deadly Class for a second season.

The Magicians – The Syfy fantasy series aired another four new episodes from its fourth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 6 – 517,000 viewers
March 13 – 534,000 viewers
March 20 – 498,000 viewers
March 27 – 515,000 viewers

This averages out to 516,000 viewers for March. New episodes aired on April 3 and April 10 with the season finale of The Magicians set to air on Syfy on Wednesday, April 17 at 9 PM.

Gone – The new WGN America crime drama aired four episodes from its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 6 – 426,000 viewers
March 13 – 347,000 viewers
March 20 – 376,000 viewers
March 27 – 275,000 viewers

This averages out to 356,000 viewers for March. New episodes aired on April 3 and April 10 with the next new episode of Gone set to air on WGN America on Wednesday, April 17 at 9 PM.

The Perfectionists – The spin-off series from Pretty Little Liars debuted on Freeform on March 20, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 20 – 457,000 viewers (DEBUT)
March 27 – 235,000 viewers

This averages out to 346,000 viewers for March. New episodes aired on April 3 and April 10 with the next new episode of The Perfectionists set to air on Freeform on Wednesday, April 17 at 8 PM.

THURSDAYS:

Siren – The mermaid-themed Freeform fantasy drama aired four new episodes from its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 7 – 441,000 viewers
March 14 – 508,000 viewers (Spring Finale)

This averages out to 475,000 viewers for March. Siren will return for the rest of its second season on Freeform on Thursday, July 11 at 8 PM.

Flack – The new POP network series aired the final four episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 7 – 22,000 viewers
March 14 – 52,000 viewers
March 21 – 64,000 viewers
March 28 – 36,000 viewers

This averages out to 44,000 viewers for March. A second season for Flack has yet to be announced.

FRIDAYS:

Strike Back – The military-themed Cinemax drama aired the final five episodes from its second season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 1 – 96,000 viewers
March 8 – 121,000 viewers
March 15 – 127,000 viewers
March 22 – 100,000 viewers
March 29 – 133,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 93,000 viewers for February. Strike Back will be back for its 7th and final season on Cinemax sometime in 2020.

SATURDAYS:

No cable dramas aired on Saturday nights during the month.

SUNDAYS:

The Walking Dead – The long-running zombie series aired the final four episodes of its 9th season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 3 – 4.7 million viewers
March 10 – 4.8 million viewers
March 17 – 4.6 million viewers
March 24 – 5 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 4.8 million viewers for March. The Walking Dead will be back for its 10th season on AMC sometime in October.

When Calls the Heart – The Hallmark Channel family friendly drama aired two episode during the month before the college cheating scandal news broke. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 3 – 2.4 million viewers
March 10 – 2.1 million viewers

This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for March. New episodes of When Calls the Heart will be back on the Hallmark Channel at some later time.

American Gods – The Starz fantasy series returned for its second season on March 10, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 10 – 520,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
March 17 – 348,000 viewers
March 24 – 329,000 viewers
March 31 – 336,000 viewers

This averages out to 383,000 viewers for March. A new episode aired on April 7 with the next new episode of American Gods set to air on Starz on Sunday, April 14 at 8 PM.

Billions – The Showtime drama returned for its 4th season on March 17, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

March 17 – 843,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
March 24 – 790,000 viewers
March 31 – 824,000 viewers

This averages out to 819,000 viewers for March. A new episode aired on April 7 with the next new episode of Billions set to air on Showtime on Sunday, April 14 at 9 PM.

Private Eyes – The Canadian crime drama aired the final six episodes of its third season on ION during the month and through April 7 when the season finale aired, but no ratings could be tracked down.

Call the Midwife – The 8th season of the PBS period piece premiered on March 31, but ratings could not be tracked down for that episode. A new episode aired on April 7 with the next new episode of Call the Midwife set to air on PBS on Sunday, April 14 at 8 PM.

Mrs. Wilson – The two-part PBS mini-series aired on March 31 and April 7, but ratings could not be tracked down for either airing. No announcement has been made yet whether Mrs. Wilson will get a second season order.

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES AND MINI-SERIES

There were 7 made-for-TV movies that aired during March. Here are the ratings for those movies:

Flip That Romance (Hallmark Channel) – 2.5 million
Love Under the Rainbow (Hallmark Channel) – 2.5 million viewers
Love to the Rescue (Hallmark Channel) – 2.3 million viewers
Just Add Romance (Hallmark Channel) – 2.2 million viewers
A Brush With Love (Hallmark Channel) – 2.1 million viewers
The Crossword Mysteries: A Puzzle To Die For (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) – 1.6 million viewers
Chronicles Mysteries: Vines That Bind (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) – 1.3 million viewers
