It was a typical night of programming on the major networks last night with nearly all of the Friday night dramas airing new episodes along with a smattering of repeats, some news and comedies.

Movie of the Week Recommendation: Morning Show Mysteries: A Murder in Mind

The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Morning Show Mysteries: A Murder in Mind will debut on April 14 at 9 PM.

Billie Blessings (Holly Robinson Peete) is drawn into a murder investigation when Katie Sanders, a former server at Blessings-turned TV star, becomes the focus when it’s discovered the victim was blackmailing her. Billie must sift through the mounting evidence – and list of suspects – to get to the truth and clear her friend’s name.

Rick Fox also stars.

Mini-Series of the Month Recommendation: Les Miserables

On April 14, the premiere of the 6-part mini-series Les Miserables will debut at 9 PM on PBS.

This new adaptation of the classic novel stars Dominic West (The Affair and The Hour) as Jean Valjean, David Oyelowo (Selma) as Javert, Lily Collins (Rules Don’t Apply) as Fantine, as well as Oscar winner Olivia Colman.
